Sorry to hear. I saw it myself..

I am a Yankee fan so obviously I loved "the Boss" but love em or hate you have to admit there were not a whole lot of people more dedicated to winning and spending whatever, in his mind, it took. You can blame MLB or whoever but Goege spent the money.. not just on players but on the stadium, the facilities all over NY and FL for them. He stuck a deal for the YES network.

Were some things he did misguided, should he have let the baseball smart people make more decisions from time to time.. sure... but I would take that and wanting to win over the manager who pockets the dough any day of the week...

FYI, did you know the when he bought the Yankees the price was like 8 million. I think he turned a profit..LOL

yeah he bought them for like 8.5 million and now they are worth a lil over 1.5 billion. He took pride in Winning. He spent his profits in order to win. You gotta respect that.
