Collector Zone _ Football _ Goodell says NFL doesnt need 4 preseason games

Posted by: 2000 rushing yards Jun 18 2010, 10:30 AM

Maybe a longer season perhaps? IMO I believe there should be either 3 preseason games and the same regular season schedule or only 2 preseason games with 17 games for each team. In either event, the season will be shorter with the subtraction of an extra week, it would eliminate the 8-8 ties we see so often, and provide us with an extra week of football. I would hope that the season would start a week earlier rather than a week later.

It wouldn't hurt my feelings if they did away with most of the preseason games! Give them 1 practice game and then lets just start the season!

I think the pre-season should be shortened but the regular season should NOT be lengthened.

2 game pre-season, 16 game regular season would be my vote.

I would be happy with that option (2 pre, 16 regular)! I don't need 4 preseason games to know Peyton will be the starter............ or that Brandstater is going to hold the clipboard!
