I found it while looking for grading card sites. This place had an article about grading card companies and found it very informative. I hopped back and forth for about 3 weeks or so reading the articles. Then one day I just decided to give a good look at the page and I spotted the word "Forums". smile.gif Thus began my existence here. cool.gif

Thanks for the info. By the way, 8 new articles were uploaded yesterday to catch up from my down time. We're also now uploading a minimum of 4 new articles a week.

Thanks for the info. Links on other collector's web sites are always a good way to get the word out.

Does anyone here want to set up a link to TCC on their site, but needs help with the link text or an image?

i found this website just by searching Google for card collecting. It was a result of my search and I am glad i found it. Trading with people online is great...not everyone collects cards especially NASCAR cards near me so it is great to trade with people around the U.S. and Canada.

I will check out your site to see if it could meet my needs and many many other collectors from Beckett who like to trade or fill inexpensive card wants.

Any help on what this site offers would be great. Thanks, Rich

Well Rich.....this site has a ton to offer. A list of traders that grows daily and a solid core of support staff that are always willing to help out to make this one of the easiest sites to work on that I have had the experience of being on. Like any other site...we have rules....but UNLIKE every other site you're not constantly getting the rules crammed down your throat. Another thing you won't find here is someone digging on you for "spamming" another site.....if you are a member of another site that's totally OK with us...and if you happen to mention another site here you won't hear anyone say anything about it. One thing we've learned here is that there ARE other sites out there, we acknowledge that and accept it.....but this is the site we want you on.

We have some very active traders, we have a lot of information in our "box breaks" and "pack pulls" section and the "Everything Else" forum contains...well.....everything else!!!! rolleyes.gif Give us a look...get a feel for the site...and I think you will find it to your liking. There's some new developments coming in the very near future...one that will likely not only effect our site...but possibly the entire sports card industry. It's going to be an exciting 2006 here at TCC!!! Keep coming back and as the new developments are released I think you'll see what I mean. wink.gif

Welcome to the site.....and if you have any questions please feel free to ask me or another TCC Team Member and we'll be glad to help out in anyway we can.

Regards,

KHarmon

Posted by: cardsnstuffny Jan 10 2006, 12:45 PM

Found you by the link on Sportlots. I am a Beckett Marketplace dealer. Please don't hold that against me. Beckett is evil. Anyways, I've been a dealer on there since 2000. At first, I bought a CD with an inventory program built into it and for 10% of sales or so, I could upload my inventory to the site for sale. Great. Then, it was 10% plus $49 a month. Then it was $149 a month, 10% of sales, a 50 cent fee for each sale and a credit card transaction fee. Now, as of 1/1/06, it went up another $100 plus all the other stuff. mad.gif I had a two-week notice of the rate increase. I've spent about 4 years entering inventory online to a point where I had 105,000 Different cards listed.

In November, I made a deal with a local dealer for all my baseball priced less than $1. I made another deal with someone else for ALL the Mets, Yankees, Red Sox and Pujols cards.

So, that leaves me to now. I've got baseball worth $1 or more of most teams, and lots of the other stuff. I'm selling on Sportlots, and I'm always trading for current Atlanta Falcons. I will take other stuff in trade if I think I can sell it. So, even though Beckett sucks, here's the link to my store. I will try my best to be out of there at the end of January. I will then be listed on just Sportlots. http://cardsnstuff.beckett.com (no www). Let me know if you see something you want in trade. I don't have much time right now to work on other web sites because of trying to price/delete stuff from Beckett by the end of the month, but in the coming months, I'll list trade stuff on www.mvick7.com

Whew. Did I mention that Beckett sucks? And yes, the crackdown on the message boards is because of some of the other Marketplace dealers whining to Beckett about them. dry.gif

Hi my name is Robert and I was told bout this website from an existing member, we are both collectors from Malaysia. Card collecting here is a very small select group and there is only one retail shop for basketball cards. So we try our best to collect.

I would like to know more about trading and posting my own list for my wants and I have to trade, I am currently interested in 03-04 Ultimate autos.

Hope anyone can help me out

Search engine. I got tired of selling stuff on ebay (fees) and was getting overloaded with cards I didnt want. One day I checked out the Beckett boards (I was always on Beckett for the price guide) and noticed there was a trading area. I honestly never knew people did online trading. Anyway I dont like the look of the Beckett boards at all and the place just wasnt very welcoming so I did a search. TCC was the first site that caught my eye. wink.gif And here I am. tongue.gif

I started to collect when my parents gave me 400 cards for christmas. Since then I shop on eBay, beckett.com, local card shops, wal-mart, and k-mart. I've only collected for 10 months now. Yes I know, I'm a Newbie sad.gif . My best card that I have is an Archie Manning rookie card and I have 2 Johny Bench RBI Leading cards from 1970. I've collected up to around 3,000 cards so far. I think that is pretty well for 10 months, don't you? One of my favorite card shops shut down, so I've slowed down quite a bit in collecting cards. I collect Basketball, Baseball, Hockey and Football cards. My favorite card I have is my a-rod holographic rookie. It is really rare it is really shiny. put my cards in binders and boxes. Most of my good cards are in toploaders. None of my cards are graded though because it is pretty expensive I heard. I hope you got to know me and I what I collect.

Thanks a lot,

Andy

I was trying to get back on sports card sheriff, found it was down, then did some research as to what happened and why. When I realized that it had been converged into this site, I decided to sign up and get back to the enjoyment of collecting with a reputable site. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to be a member.

I came here because I was getting sick of prospect talk and politics on a bigger, more well known forum. I do not want to hear conversations about guys who have not made it to the big leauges. I really enjoy stars I got to know well in the '90s when I listened to most of my baseball games such as Frank Thomas, Alex Rodriguez, Derek Jeter, and Roger Clemens. I am a veteran collector and I like collecting the stars and selling the RC's on eBay or trading them away for set needs.

I was watching youtube videos when I found a box break of 2008 Topps Heritage done by you guys. I really enjoyed the video, bought a box of 2008 Topps Heritage and decided to join TCC. Thanks for this site!

If I recall, that's how I found TCC too. wink.gif

Posted by: auhsd1 Apr 27 2008, 05:44 PM

This is my story of how I found TCC. I was looking on photobucket of Jason Kidd cards and I saw a 07/08 Sp Game Used Jason Kidd letterman. It was in Kmart6nets's bucket. I asked on another site if anyone knew who this was so I could get this card. I was told to join TCC to contact him. I joined TCC that same day and last weekend I got the letterman from Kmart6nets or (Tom). I love this site and now I only use this site. Everyone is much nicer on this site and trading is way better. Thanks smile.gif

mellow.gif I took some time away from collecting after hurricane katrina destroyed a huge part of my collection. When i return to my old faithful SCS site I was sent here. Hope things here go as well for me as the did there. I was an elite trader at SSC and hope to keep my great rep in the trading community going while refining my yanks collection. cool.gif

Hope to get back into the swing with new site but of course my built up history of good past trades are gone and must start fresh I guess. Thnx for adding my acct.. wink.gif

Posted by: 2card Jan 14 2009, 07:47 PM

Found this site from another member, they had the link so i came in looked around and joined. Nice site, simple, if you want to trade, then trade. If you want to buy, then buy. simple...thats all i want in a card site not one that i have to go to a class just to make a trade!!! as is the case at another site, plus i don't have all the time to post my whole collection in want, trade, or whatever, that site is way to confusing for the average trader. Now if we could just find another price guide for cards we could really put the hurt on them and maybe they would come back to earth...But hey anyway nice site and i hope it stays this way....Thanks Bob ( 2card )
