OUCH. But there's probably an element of truth there.

It's probably to do with Mysterio apparently bringing Hispanic viewership to SD! but not making any real improvement to that area on RAW. Melina followed Rey for a ratings boost in a certain demographic. Expect them both to have tons of airtime over the next little while.

Pretty satisfied with the Draft overall since I called most of the moves. The way things are shaping up it looks like I'll only be watching RAW this year. Mark Henry to RAW in the supplemental draft would make sure of that.

What do you mean by "pics and info"? Any website can have pictures and information if you hotlink the pics properly and write up a blurb about it.

Alan Keyes would have had my vote this past election if I was a citizen over there in the States. Not quite a "Republican" but a conservative nonetheless.

I have that problem as well with the local mail authority over here in England. It really puts me off TTMing in general, especially when requesting a freebie from a website form or e-mail. I mean you can't exactly say "Please package this with cardboard" or "Please use a cardboard mailer" when begging for a handout, right?

Best solution is to leave it inside the envelope and under a few old yellow pages or some kind of heavy weight for a few days. You'll take out some of the rougher dings but there will still be noticeable indentations.

WWE Champion Triple H vs. Randy Orton

Triple H d. Randy Orton via Vince McMahon interference. Sort of a Montreal Screwjob ending except with everyone laughing at and taunting Orton's loss, sending him into a huge IED rage throughout the night and into RAW the following.

World Heavyweight Champion Edge vs. John Cena vs. Big Show (Triple Threat Match)

John Cena d. Big Show via Attitude Adjuster and Pinfall.

Intercontinental Champion JBL vs. Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio d. JBL via 619, West Coast Pop and pinfall.

Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy (Extreme Rules Match)

Jeff Hardy d. Matt Hardy via Swanton Bomb from a huge height, likely off a titantron platform, and pinfall.

WWE Tag Team Champions vs. World Tag Team Champions (Unified Tag Team Championship Lumberjack Match)

John Morrison d. Primo Colon via Moonlight Drive and pinfall.

Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker

The Undertaker d. Shawn Michaels via Tombstone Piledriver and pinfall.

Money in the Bank Ladder Match

Mark Henry wins.

25-Diva Battle Royal

Mae Young wins.

Chris Jericho vs. WWE Legends

No contest; Jericho refuses to compete and make a mockery of his name in front of all of the liars and hypocrites which leads Rourke to jump the guardrail and everyone gets the beatdown on Chris.

QUOTE
Worm attack chaos fails to strike

Industry experts are staying calm as the Conficker deadline approaches

The chaos predicted by some as the Conficker worm updates itself have so far failed to materialise.

There had been concerns that the worm could trigger poisoned machines to access personal files, send spam, clog networks or crash sites.

Many of the infected machines are based in Asia where there have been no reports of unusual PC behaviour.

Conficker is believed to have infected up to 15 million computers to date.

Those monitoring the progress of the worm as 1 April dawned around the globe said there was no evidence it was doing anything other than modifying itself to be harder to exterminate.

The hackers behind the worm, which effectively have all infected machines under their control, have yet to give the virus any specific orders.

But security experts warned that there was no room for complacency.

"We are going to be on high alert for a long time. Come 2 April we will still be watching while most people will have moved their focus elsewhere," said Vincent Weafer, vice president of security response at anti-virus firm Symantec.

He added: "We believe the software is geared towards making money. The characteristic of this type of worm is to keep it slow and low, keep it under the radar to slowly maximise profits over the long term."

CNN also reports it as dormant. Oh well, better to be safe than sorry.

(CNN) -- Remember the dire predictions surrounding the "millennium bug?" The doom-and-gloom scenarios bandied about by security analysts on how computers could act when their clocks turned to January 1, 2000?
Computer users will not know that Conficker.c has infected their machine.

Computer users will not know that Conficker.c has infected their machine.

Well, researchers are hoping that a potential April Fool's time bomb -- the Conficker.c that is supposed to hit computers on April 1 -- turns out to be equally unfounded.

But realizing that hope alone is not a prudent option, here is a primer on the worm so you can adequately prepare yourself -- and your computer.

What is Conficker.c and what do analysts fear it may do?

Conficker.c is a worm, a malicious program thought to have already infected between 5 million and 10 million computers.

Those infections haven't spawned many symptoms, but on April 1 a master computer is scheduled to gain control of these zombie machines, said Don DeBolt, director of threat research for CA, a New York-based IT and software company.

What happens on April Fool's Day is anyone's guess.

The program could delete all of the files on a person's computer, use zombie PCs -- those controlled by a master -- to overwhelm and shut down Web sites or monitor a person's keyboard strokes to collect private information like passwords or bank account information, experts said.

More likely, though, said DeBolt, the virus may try to get computer users to buy fake software or spend money on other phony products.

Experts said computer hackers largely have moved away from showboating and causing random trouble. They now usually try to make money off their viral programs. Video Watch more on the worm »

How does the Conficker.c work?

Conficker.c imbeds itself deep in the computer where it is difficult to track. The program, for instance, stops Windows from conducting automatic updates that could prevent it from causing damage.

The program's code is also written to evolve over time and its author appears to be making updates to thwart attempts to neuter the worm.

Who wrote the program?

It's unclear who wrote the program, but anti-work researchers -- a group calling itself the Conficker Cabal -- are looking for clues.

First, they know that some recent programs have come from Eastern European countries outside the jurisdiction of the European Union, said Patrick Morganelli, senior vice president of technology for Enigma Software.

Worm program authors often hide in those countries to stay out of sight from law enforcement, he said.

In a way, the Conficker Cabal is also looking for the program author's fingerprints. DeBolt said security researchers are looking through old programs to see if their programming styles are similar to that of Conficker C.

The prospects for catching the program's author are not good, Morganelli said. "Unless they open their mouth, they'll never be found," he said.

So, the most effective counter-assault simply may be damage control.

How can I tell if my computer's infected?

One quick way to see if your computer has been infected is to see if you have gotten automatic updates from Windows in March. If so, your computer likely is fine, DeBolt said.

Microsoft released a statement saying the company "is actively working with the industry to mitigate the spread of the worm."

Users who haven't gotten the latest Windows updates should go to http://safety.live.com if they fear they're infected, the company's statement says.

People who use other antivirus software should check to make sure they've received the latest updates, which also could have been disabled by Conficker.c.

How did the worm evolve?

The first version of Conficker -- strain A -- was released in late 2008. That version used 250 Web addresses -- generated daily by the system -- as the means of communication between the master computer and its zombies.

The end goal of the first line was to sell computer users fake antivirus software, said Morganelli.

Computer security experts largely patched that problem by working with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers to disable or buy the problematic URLs, he said.

A second variant, Conficker.b, was released in January and infected millions more machines.

The Conficker, strain C, will generate 50,000 URLs per day instead of just 250 when it becomes active, DeBolt said.

What is being done to fight Conficker?

Members are searching for the malicious software program's author and for ways to do damage control if he or she can't be stopped.

They're motivated in part by a $250,000 bounty from Microsoft.

CNN has been all over this one for some time now. In short, be sure your antivirus software (not the database definitions but the actual program) is updated to the latest version and that it is actively running. It would also be wise to do complete system scans, updates and backups at some point today or tonight before the clock strikes midnight.

Most security suites and packages should be able to stop Conficker, but some known software includes:

McAfee AVERT Stinger Conficker 10.0.1.534 (Tool)
Avira AntiVir Personal Edition (Full Antivirus)
SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition (Full Antispyware)

Yep, showing up super early is the key. See who you're able to flag down in parking lots or on field and go from there. Be sure to bring your own material and a permanent marker to sign because the players likely won't have that stuff available. You might be able to snag a free baseball from them but I wouldn't count on it. At minimum go armed with index cards.

Sportkings series, perhaps?

That was a pretty good read either way. I was involved with "collecting" in the 1990s, which was more spending my allowance money on retail packs and stockpiling the endless base which I had no idea would fall victim to Beckett's mass production catalog pricing. At the time I wouldn't have even considered my cards as potentially "valuable"; I just liked it cracking for cracking's sake. Since coming back to the hobby recently, while it's been fun to look at all of the developments, I can't say I'm overly interested in participating. I have more of a growing interest in stamp and coin collecting, along with the WWII/Presidential stuff we discussed in a PM not long ago, over modern cards. The whole idea of modern card collecting seems rather heartless and seems more focused on getting that thousand dollar sticker auto of some whos-it. I'd much rather TTM and get the "real thing", as well as directly express my appreciation and sentiments to the athlete/celebrity in question, over having some faceless sticker. I like the idea of game worn/event used but with the recent Razor autographs sting re: autopen cuts can even those be trusted? I like the rookies, base or not, and that's about it. Always have and always will.

I doubt that the photobucket service itself is to blame. Why would they intentionally send a virus to their own users? It seems that most infections are coming from the banner ads distributed by third parties. A solution to at least minimize the risk is to surf using Mozilla Firefox with Adblock Plus enabled.

Also keep Java Runtime Environment updated, but the specific viruses which are Java targeted don't seem to be in circulation right now.

Received cards today. At first glance it looks like they're all present but I'll need a few days to go through and inventory properly. No obvious damage to report.

I think it's safe to close the transaction as successful. I'll take up any missing pieces with #1MichiganFan directly.

@stlbaseball15

It's an interesting conception but how could it be accurately verified? And even still, if a dog only amounted to a three or four year old child in the mind, could a young child be held accountable for moral judgment?

@pspstatus

How can an animal be higher on the thought process when it is only driven to action? A truly moral being is able to consider that what his actions are could be right or wrong whereas an animal only sees the world through eyes of survival. You're sort of hinting at it yourself but just need to reflect on your thoughts a bit more.

Feel free to send your quotes, as I'm sure they will be specific short scripture references as opposed to reading the whole passage which is how the Bible was designed to be read. Remember, though, that Jesus wasn't a politician. It wasn't necessary to His mission to openly denounce slavery as it was a common norm globally at that time. Jesus didn't preach to Governments about how to rule justly but rather preached to everyone about showing the way to God. Jesus says we're to pay to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's. We're not to get wrapped up in our Earthly situations because they're only minuscule in comparison to "what is God's" and achieving Heaven; get through life, go to work, pay your taxes and all the rest because there's something more waiting for everyone in Heaven. We can also look at His message to love our neighbor as we love ourselves and apply it which would suggest a fair and humane treatment of slaves in possession of those which Jesus' word touched. Images of modern slavery like the black situation might conjure up ruthlessness but that's not to say those same images were rampant in the Biblical era. A little more research on your behalf would go a long way.

Thanks for saying the previous post was a dissertation though laugh.gif.
