Confirmed pilot death. This happened on the 3rd practice of the day. Earlier I watched one the 2 single flyers make a number of low passes, a few were the lowest I've seen in our area, in one of the later passes I barley saw the plane from the trees. I was watching the latest take off when things seemed weird, a quick puff of white smoke followed by thick black smoke with a fireball. Right after the other single flyer started doing circles of the crash site & I heard many emergency vehicles make their way to the site. I'm guessing the Pilot road the plane in to avoid all of the populated areas around the airport. The crash site is just behind a civil war site of Sam Davis. I live on Sam Davis road & the wreck was about a mile from the house. The plane just missed a large apartment complex, if hit it would of been tragic with the direction he was flying, would of knocked out a large section of the complex.
No decision if the event will be cancelled, the Blue Angels have announced they will not be a part of the show. Sad day, thoughts out to Pilots family.
