confirm for the falcons. Thanks Brian.

Posted by: BOBKONING Aug 25 2011, 10:57 PM

Not sure why we went with just 4 boxes of inception as a case would have been better. We kind of rule out the chance for the case hit. At $10 more each we could have had a full case of Inception. Just saying.

Lets do it then!!! smile.gif

I if i can get an ok by current members i am surely game for that one!! I will send a PM to cool_hand, BK and Jerry to confirm thats fine with them since they are only ones who re-confirmed so far!

All teams if you look have been increased by $10 except Rams, Broncos, Redskins and Cowboys since they already are the highest. However the Titans and Panthers were increased more to off set that cost.

So far Mark is fine with it as i am sure i will hear back from Jerry and BK shortly

Posted by: Cool_Hand_Flash Aug 26 2011, 06:14 AM

I am 100% ok, with the tiny increase for a full case of Inception smile.gif

Posted by: boomersooner24 Aug 26 2011, 01:25 PM

dropping the chiefs and ravens adding the dolphins keeping the giants
thanks brian

Posted by: SchickFaced Aug 26 2011, 08:05 PM

i'll come back w/ the skins

Posted by: Hail24 Aug 27 2011, 01:38 AM

I am in with all of my teams and that is fine that the Titans and Panthers jumped up a bit more than the rest but the Colts for $70. There is only some cheap Delone Carter hits in inception and only a couple hits for Manning in the 5 Star. I mean my odds of hitting anything besides a Delone Carter auto out of inception is slim to none. Sorry don't mean to complain just think $70 is awful high for the Colts with a chance at hits of only 2 people out of 2 full cases. Thanks

Chris like i said all teams went up $10 to add 4 more boxes except a few of the really expensive teams, that means colts were at $60 for 4 boxes less blink.gif

The Titans and Panthers yes i had to increase more than others since i needed to offset costs of not raising a few.

Not sure what you mean by alter the boxes to the original amount. I already feel I'm overpaying for the Rams, so if the boxes get reduced, I will probably drop out.

Joe look at every break with 5star. crpalmi 2 case break was 365 for rams, peja was 170 and that was just for 1 case not extra when the product was cheaper

$150 is for 2 case 1 of 5star and 1 (8) box case of inception. I think if anything rams are unpriced

Posted by: bwaggy Sep 3 2011, 09:20 PM

I am going to let this break ride another week and look at everything and see what everything prices out to be. Still thinking on whats best for this break. I think when bobkoning said to increase the break by 10 dollars a team to add 4 more boxes it scared alot of people off including alot of members that take more than one team in my normal break.

This is for 1 case plus extra Inception...which is pure crap. For Crpalmi's, I pay $115 for 1 case of 5-star and 1 case of Exquisite....there is no comparison.

I think 2011 will be better represented eventually...it just hasn't come out yet.

I'm not bagging on your break Brian, I'm just making a point that I wouldn't pay $150 for less product. I've spent about $1500 on 5-Star breaks when I've had the Rams. For that...I have exactly ONE Bradford auto. Granted...I have miserable luck, but the fact is...I pay a lot for the chase and miss way more often than not.

Oh no joe i am not removing anything from this break. If we can't fill i will look into completely redoing the monthly break with new product and also new prices. I will not remove anything from this break and expect people to pay normal price. Thats not right

Thats what I meant Joe..

Posted by: quik59sat Sep 4 2011, 07:39 PM

This is just my 2 cents and I mean no disrespect in any way.

I doubt we'll come to a complete agreement on pricing especially because Inception is purely rookies and while that may have some less than desired hits for 2010 top tier teams, Five Star is essential over 60% of this break's budget from what it seems. Both products are more heavy with rookies but five-star having some nice, rare vet autos (love the inscription autos).

Joe, I mean no disrespect but your comment about crpalmi's break kind of bothered me. You pay $115 for the Rams and everyone else pays the same price for same product. I have the Packers and the Falcons and aside from AJ Hawk, Paul Hornung, and a Matt Ryan patch card there's not much in 2010 Exquisite for me aside from base, but I pay $115 for each team toward the chance of other members getting nice hits and maybe getting something I like. I also paid $170 for the Rams in TK's 2009/2010 exquisite dual case break so getting the Rams at $115 + 4 boxes of Austin Pettis goodness (lol j/k) is beyond a steal. Brian's break is tiered so I expect teams with better/more hits to pay more.

Brian, my suggestion to hopefully get get this break moving would be to possibly price and separate the teams according to product so say the Jags, virtually nothing in Five Star so maybe $10, but lots of Gabbert in Inception so maybe $50 for that slot. It'll allow people to pick up more teams and get better value although it may cause headaches for you.

Just my 2 cents, again I don't mean any disrespect. I wanted to voice my opinions after seeing the comments on this thread.

Some would be higher from me I assure you wink.gif

Posted by: bwaggy Sep 5 2011, 08:00 AM

Today. i am going through this break and going to ask bob to shut it down.

Potential ideas will be this will be a monthly break with only the top teams being auctioned based on "good stars". This way we will have a base amount and whatever funds are collected from the auction teams will be added to the product list.

The weaker teams will be around $30 each in hopes to draw solid supporters who take them on each and every break.

BK, excellent point and crpalmi's breaks really have set the bar for box breaking. I am amazed and love the strong support his breaks draw as any other break host could not even compare.

The rams are an amazing team for $115 for 2010 but in 2006,2007,2008,2009,2011 i would be hard pressed to see someone super excited to pay that for them. Thats how all of chris's breaks are setup with every team equally priced.

On the flip side i do not think its fair to charge someone $150 for say the redskins when the possible chance to hit a card booking over $10 is next to impossible. The only way to hold a successful break for myself is to adjust teams this ensures more product to be busted because after the top 15 teams its almost a given that some teams that are priced very inexpensive will have to be marked down or auctioned.

Posted by: Cool_Hand_Flash Sep 5 2011, 09:46 AM

So, do we retain if its a so called weaker team, and lose our team if its stronger? blink.gif wouldnt it be easier to have a fixed price each month and then just two tiers of teams?..

If the Rams are being pulled from me and turned into an auction team, I'm out. Have fun watching the rich members of the site show off how much money they have....I'm not rich and can't compete.

Adios....
