As a fan, my picks are the Killer B's.

I was always a fan of the pitchers. Randy, Pedro, and Smoltz are my picks. I was lucky enough to see them all pitch in their prime, at live games at Fenway

I would also add Randy Johnson and Pedro Martinez.

yea I actually think pedro is borderline, short career but marvelous like Koufax.

smoltz is a first ballot in my opinion but probably wont be.

be a travesty if biggio doesn't get in

The other real debacle is the steroid era guys

McGwire, sosa, Clemens, bonds.. with the rule changes some of them could be done. McGwire admitted it the rest are still in denial, in courts etc. Its plain to see the writers are not going to waiver so just take a vote, possible or not on the alleged abusers and leave them on or take them off for good. add Sheffield and piazza to the list too.They are just clogging up space and forcing writers to ignore guys below in their quest to keep them on the ballot!

Guys like edgar Martinez, lee smith and McGriff are outstanding players and should get a lot more love than they do but their problem is the issue above.

Why not change baseball to more of a Football system where the list is whittled down to 10 or 15 to consider each year! At least then it gives a fair chance to the mcgriffs and edgars of the world.
