The NHLPA held a conference call late Friday afternoon to discuss this past week's mediation process and the plan moving forward.

The big topic of discussion for the players was Gary Bettman's offer of an owner-player only meeting.

Bettman proposed Thursday that the leadership from both sides step aside for the next bargaining session, leaving a group of owners and players to try and break the stalemate

The players are expected to make a decision and let the NHL know one way or another no later than Saturday.

Gee's, get the season going already, think they had 10yrs to think about it since the last one, to busy thinking about the money they made, pay up and give the fans back what they paid for over the years, almost thinking that I should quit collecting for awhile, buying cards only supports the NHLPA, think both sides should think about that, last game I was at, was a Playoff game against Dallas vs Wings when the Wings won the Cup that year, sad!!

I think whenever they finally do start up again the Fans should GO ON STRIKE and NOT attend the Opening Games to show their displeasure or leave en-mass during the first intermission. Something ANYTHING to show the fan's displeasure of this whole strike thing.
