When getting something signed, you would want it to be valuable and hold it's value for awhile. Whenever I am getting an autograph, I think about what the player is worth. If it's a superstar I will contend to get an item that is usually higher end such as a Jersey, bat, or a ball. If the player isn't as good I will look to get a card signed or something flat such as an 8x10. It all depends on preference, but if you don't have a lot of money, use higher end items to get higher end players. Make sure to use a good sharpie on Jerseys and balls. Except for baseballs which should always be signed by a pen, Jerseys and other balls will hold the signature better if signed by a sharpie or paint pen. Cards are also better served by getting signed by a Sharpie. Sharpies will bleed on baseballs so that is why I don't use them on that kind of surface. If going to a game and you need a lot of players I suggest using a binder to hold all of your photos and sports cards as it is easier to find what you are looking for. When everything is organized it is much easier to get the item out and get it signed before the moment passes with the particular player. So all in all, weigh your options before you get an autograph, if it's Michael Jordan get a jersey signed! If it's Tyler Clippard get a card signed and save the ball or bat for another star player. http://sportsandcelebrityaddresses.com/free-autographs/ |

Wondering about the best pen to use for getting an autograph? Well, it all depends on the kind of autograph that you intend to get. After all, different surfaces would require different ink types that in order to stick and not end up bleeding or fading after a while. Autographs are meant to be lifelong souvenirs and as such, they must stand the test of time. The only real way that you can guarantee this is if you make use of the right ink for the specific item that you're getting signed. Shall we take at a few of the most common ones and what kind of pen you ought to use for them? Jerseys - It would be best if you get them to sign right on the number as it is white and has the perfect texture for either a black or silver sharpie. Most autograph enthusiasts would tell you that a blue sharpie tends to fade. Magazines - For this, a sharpie with either a fine or medium sized point would do very well. The color is all up to you but of course, it has to be visible. Baseballs - Any point of pen would do and the darker the color, the better. However, experts do believe that for this purpose, blue is certainly a better color. Basketballs - Black is the color of choice for this purpose. A sharpie would also be preferred but make sure that you use one that doesn't have the chisel edge because the celebrity or the athlete would need to hold it a proper way. A silver colored pen would also be okay if you want it to appear a bit flashier. Baseball Bats - A black sharpie would always look good when used on baseball bats but you also have the option of using silver colored one. It all depends upon your preference and the visibility of the signature itself against its background. So there you have it, just a few tips that should help you get the most out of your autographs. Remember, opportunities such as these present themselves ever so rarely and as such, you would want to make the most of them. Good luck! My Webpage |

Just a little article I wrote for class today, tell me what you guys think. How To Get Autographs In Person: It Requires A Little Strategic Planning If you want to know how to get autographs in person it really isn't as hard as you think it is. All that is required is a little bit of strategic planning on your part. Not only this, but you must not be afraid to take action. In this article I'm going to help give you a few guiding points which should more than assist you in getting an autograph from your favorite athlete in person. First you need to know what the hard way is and what the easy way is. There are two ways to go about getting an autograph in person, the first thing you can do is try to get it at the stadium where the team may be playing. This may seem simple at first, but can actually be quite difficult. The second way to do this would be to try and track down what particular hotel a team might be staying at. When you're able to know what hotel a team is staying it is far easier to gain access this way then try to get an autograph at the stadium. Second you need to be one of the first people to get to the stadium if you choose this route. If you decide to go the harder route and you want to get the autograph at the stadium, then you need to be ahead of the crowd. You want to make sure you get to the stadium as soon as it opens. Usually if you do this you will be able to catch the athlete of your choice either coming from or going into the locker rooms to prepare for the game. Usually you'll catch them off guard and they may be more willing to give you their autograph. Lastly you can try to find out where the team's parking lot is. You will not want to hang out where everybody else does to engage in activities such as tailgating, this is usually an unfruitful way to get an autograph in person. What you want to do is find out where the team's parking lot is. This is where all of their cars are parked along with the coaches. You shouldn't have any problem getting access to this area, but I would say you’d have a better chance of getting an autograph in person this way after a victory rather than a loss. I hope these points are able to assist you in getting an autograph in person. Remember what I said, it really isn't as hard as you think. But you must be willing to be in that tiny minority that is willing to go the extra mile to get it. Some athletes’ autographs are very valuable, and will appreciate in value over time. Many athletes know this and some may be reluctant to give out their autograph. Mikes Autographs |
