In a well kept secret to those even in their own inner circle, TNA announced today that they have signed the legendary Hulk Hogan to a contract. Hogan will also be bringing longtime friend and former WCW boss, Eric Bischoff with him to the promotion. Hogan had a press conference scheduled today outside of MSG in NY City to promote his new book and Austrailian wrestling tour. TNA President Dixie Carter along with several other top company officials were present at the Hogan press conference with TNA and Spike TV banners displayed everywhere. It will be very interesting to see where this goes. Obviously it is a big deal exposure wise for both TNA and Spike but Hogan can't be used on screen like he was in his prime or it will kill their product. Stay tuned fans.......this will get very interesting very quickly!

I think the big thing here is Eric Bishoff. Hogan can only be used to make big tag matches. I don't keep up with TNA much mainly because I hate their ring, but he needs to not start a faction, but a group. Just him and two other guys. This is how legacy should have been built. A legend leaving down his legacy with two young up and comers. They could have it where he brings people up to certain levels, like tag champs, x-division champ, and world champ. Once they get a title, he lets them go. And takes someone else under his wing to take their place

I'm not at all a Hogan fan, I never have been, but this is huge for TNA for a number of reasons. It's going to provide an instant buzz around the product. Long term, like cbluem said, the bigger impact could be Bischoff. If he's given any sort of creative control, that could be the end of Russo, and a very positive step forward for TNA.

This is BIG news, but in the end will hurt TNA (similar to Kevin Nash). Hogan will bury everyone in his path and leave at the most inappropriate time (when he needs to job).

I concur with the others in that Bishoff can be the X factor in that if there was to be a 2nd Monday Night Wars it will be he who leads it.
