with the ryder cup in the windy city area might be a good chance to pick up some great golf autos this week!

So i managed to score a ticket to the Ryder Cup championship round sunday for $20! that should be fun!

I went and got Alshon Jeffrey last night at a taping of the show Chicago Huddle. Very cool down to earth chill dude. I plan on going back next week. It will be either Forte or Tillman.

If you look close on the 11x14 i somehow managed to smudge the signature a little on the way home. I will have to get this photo resigned another time.

Very short update here. Didn't get any autographs over the weekend but I did stumble into a pair of tickets to the final day of the Ryder Cup. I had never been to a golf event so it was something else. Most of the time camera's were prohibited so the quality of my pics aren't the best as I was trying to be discreet. Also 2 off topic updates. I brought my family out to watch a taping a local sports show hoping to meet Matt Forte. Forte refused to sign autographs and left right after the show but my family and I ended up on tv! hah

Also had one of our bi-annual drag racing events. I did not enter a vehicle this time but I worked on the crew for a friend and we ended up taking home the title in the 26" tire class!!! Met Bill Wennington and Tom Thayer yesterday. Was about 30-40 people at each at the most. I got 6 things at Wennington and 8 at Thayer. Only 1 of the Wennington was for me though.

Tomorrow is Ladies Night Football 101 at Soldier Field. My wife is attending and I am hoping to get a Jason Campbell Auburn Mini, and a bunch of 11x14's from people like Tim Jennings, Alshon Jeffrey, Major Wright, Shea and so on.

So this update covers Monday and Tuesday of this week. Monday was the ladies night at Soldier Field my wife attended and then Tuesday was a huge surprise and last minute announcement that JULIUS PEPPERS was signing free autographs! I don't think I need to tell you guys how rare this is for him to sign let alone free!!!! The only bad thing was I had about 12 hours notice so I didn't have time to get the item I wanted. Ideally I would have gone with a UNC basketball jersey or a Bears Full Size, or a Bears Jersey. But I settled with the 16x20 that came out ok. I had my hands full (coat drive) so I had the sharpie cap off longer than I should have. I used sharpie because Peppers had smeared a few paint pen autographs for the guys in line ahead of me.

Don't get me wrong I am not complaining about a free Peppers autograph! Up next should be '85 Bear Cliff Thrift on saturday and then Bears CB Tim Jennings on Monday.
