Titans to retire Steve McNair's # 9 & Eddie George's # 27, names also to be added to the ring of honor.

One of the Greats in F1 . Up until this year Niki could be seen in the Ferrari pits during the F1 races. If you have the chance to watch the documentary ONE , it was a 2013 release about the darker days of F1 & Niki played a very important role. He will be missed.

Hi folks,

Finally have something licensed to show. I got into a couple of different NT Nascar breaks this week over on BOTV.

We did 2 boxes via random serial number, in another break we did 2 boxes reverse draft (1st box 1 - 7 & 2nd box same #'s 7 - 1) I drew #7 in this so I had 1st pick in 2nd box.

Here's my haul -

Normally I'd show a set in order like 1-20 but card #1 was so nice I wanted it last.

Last piece hit the mail box today the Ken Dryden. My favorite is the Gump Worsley & it was a pull, too many nice ones to have picked 2nd 3rd & so on yet. Will have a group shot by Sunday when the paint job drys on the new frame if I can find some mag loaders that fit. Going to a card show this weekend with finger crossed someone has an answer. Went thru about 250 holders to find 20 for the pads set & 6 for the Goals against set.

I've notified LeafGreg of the problem have not heard anything back yet. I need close to 75 Mag holders & these cards seem to only fit about 10% of the holders I had in hand & I've used all I had. This is a big issue to me as It's more money I didn't need to spend. If your aware of the problem & have an answer please share & I'll do the same if I find a brand that works.

Enjoy

(Leaf Greg, message for you below the pic, if you could be of assistance I'd really appreciate it.)

I have 19 of the 20 in hand, just waiting on the last piece to arrive to do a bigger S&T. I've already finished building a frame for the set & it has quickly become my favorite Game Used Hockey set.

This is one of the nicer cards I have in hand, did manage to obtain a few more multi-color pieces, most of my solid white pieces have either scuff marks or stitching. The piece that's inbound will be the nicest card in the set, can't wait to show them all, for now here's a very small preview.

user posted image

I do have one LARGE issue with this release, most of the sets are miss-cut, they are too tall (vertical) or long (horizontal) & don't fit standard Mags. Went thru about 250 mag holders from inventory & sets I already had on the wall to find Mags that will fit. I have 3 more sets that need mag holders & not sure what I'm going to do. If anyone knows a brand of holder that fit these please let me know.

Another one bites the dust. Couldn't resist the 1st picture just because of the name of the set. The frame for these is under construction I'll show a real group shot when it's done.

After a long wait one finally went up as a regular auction, I saw where it had sold before in e-bay history & the seller said as much in his auction, why I never saw the 1st auction is a mystery as it's one of my daily searches, glad the other guy didn't complete the sale.

For some reason the auction didn't get much action & my snipe was set for more than twice what I won it for. Paid right away & wondered if I'd ever see the card, just over a week later the card is in hand & I love it.

I'm likely to take some heat for removing the Leaf Seals from the card, but when you see what I'm doing I hope for forgiveness.

As received -

And why I remove the labels -

Just 2 cards away from finishing this set, It has not been an easy set to do. I'm not worried about freeing the cards from the Leaf Top Loaders, if I ever sell the set it will be intact only & the frame will sell with the cards.

Dug out an old frame (needs a minor repair) I had in storage, it work's well with the new card set. Like that it's a 9 card horizontial & I had it in stock, I like the extra spot for the Masked Men Logo.

Would love participate but alas I can't get into either of my Photobuckett accounts, had to delete cookies & history
a month or two back due to another issue. That deleted my auto log-in & no password I've tried works.

I only have a couple of Pred's pic's a.t.m. in Flicker, till I get everything else migrated over.

Mr. Mike Fisher (aka lucky guy married to Kerry Underwood) so hope he resigns over the off season & sticks around.

there is one completed sale of a /2 , it's the only one that's been up, went for $374, I ain't paying that. Maybe another one of those one to go sets for a while. Not that I think Vezina will go down. Hoping to get lucky & someone puts one up with a decent BIN w/BO going to have to attack quick.

So far I'm knocking out the sets I'm after, more later.

Thanks all,

I'm really really thrilled to be this far along. I am 3 short -
Charlie Gardiner - should be easy enough if one pop's up
Terry Sawchuk - ditto , the/a 1/1 is up now but the guy wants too much
and the one I don't think I'll see at a reasonable price -
Georges Vézina, he has a total of 7 cards with a variety of serial numbers /3, /2, /1 & /1.

One of the BIG downsideS of racing. Same thing happened a few years back to Alex Zanarde(sp?) with the IRL (Indy cars) & he just won multiple Gold Medals at the latest para-Olympics.

Speaking of F-1 only 2 or 3 races in and the season has been the best in years so far. Dramatic changes to the cars this year. Best 4 wheel racing around these days, NHRA a close 2nd.

5/9 - Added Charlie Gardiner VG-02

------------------------------------------------------

I wasn't going to try for this set but got very lucky & landed some nice pieces early. Trying to strike quick as these will disappear into PC'S quick. I have a few more inbound, will post them here when I have them in hand. There is at least 1 I doubt I'll be able to land but I'm going to give it a try.
