Before the photo, some backstory. A while back, Upper Deck ran a buy one, get one promotion on their Grandeur coins on ePack. The just recently did the same. Anyway, I was curious, so I tried it. I got really lucky and got one of the gold ones - Henrik Lundqvist. I got it shipped home. It was pretty cool, but mostly because of the material. Otherwise it was pretty small, and I’m not really a coin collector, so I looked into selling it.

It sold, and I decided to take the plunge and pick up a card I’ve had my eye on for a while. The seller was willing to work with me on price, and I got it to where I was comfortable with the purchase, and the coin sale would cover it. Today in the mail I received this!

Dylan Larkin 15/16 The Cup Rookie Patch/Auto /99!

The patch maybe leaves a bit to be desired, but it allowed me to afford it, and the fact that it graded well was icing on the cake! I’ll likely never add a card like this to my collection again. Larkin this season really was the one bright spot for the Wings, and hopefully he’ll be there for the long haul. Hopefully the card will hold value similar to the coin, but either way I’m happy with this addition.

Thanks for looking!
