Ive collected cards ever since I can remember but didnt really get into trading and online communities until 2008 when I was 16 and had my first job. I went from collecting anything and everything to chicago teams and the yankees, and donruss classics from 2008-2010. I was gone from the hobby from last April until a few days ago and am glad to be back here!

Hello old friends, I have been gone for a long time and have important loose ends to tie up and would like to be welcomed back to the communitty after a long overdue absence, and a few mistakes.

It has been almost a year since I have been on the boards. Last spring, I lost a close friend in a motorcycle accident and was totally devastated. I took time off of the hobby to tighten the friendships I had, and was in a rough state. I then realized shortly after that I had a few outstanding deals with some members on this site, two guys I was friendly with and knew pretty well. Instead of manning up and trying to fix the issues, I hid and did not come around for a while. I knew that I would have to quit the hobby for a while to save money to help pay for school, and combined with the fact I had outstanding deals that I was too embarassed to try and solve, I figured I would just be done with the hobby. It was out of sight out of mind, though I kept thinking about these deals and how not completing them bothered me. About 2 weeks ago, I lost all of my financial aid, most of it being state covered, due to educational state budget cuts. Now I am home for a semester with lots of time on my hands, and realized that even though buying cards cannot happen at the time, I still love the hobby, talking cards and sports. That led me to finally man up and come back. And to the two men that I left out to dry, I sincerely apologize and will make it up to you and then some after I have some cash to spend. I am currently paying a little over a grand for my last months rent at my apartment and the late charges, so money is tight for me at the moment but I can assure you that I will fix these mistakes.

Sorry for the long read, but I felt that some sort of explanation was necessary. I am sure that I will have to earn back some respect that I lost with my foolish actions, but I am eager to earn that respect and trust back, and have some more fun with yall.

Thanks

we should combine as a tcc communitty to get a list of like 100 things and try and helo each other accomplish these...most would be tough but there would be some things that could be done that dont really revolve around cost! how cool would that be

So if any of you have seen the MTV show The Buried Life you know what I am talking about. I had the chance to see them speak last night and meet them afterwards, and actually saw them at a bar last night as well. What they do on their show is try and cross of their list of the 100 things they want to do before they die, and everytime they cross something off they help someone else do something, such as reunite a father and son, buy a school computers, etc. They were very inspirational and funny as well. I was just wondering what you guys want to do before you die? Heres a few of mine

Have a small monkey play cymbols on my shoulder
Throw at the first pitch at an MLB game
Kiss the Stanley Cup
Record a song with Eminem
Raise money for children with Brain Cancer

What about you guys?

My name at the bottom must have gave it away! My ninja teacher is going to be super mad. He says the key to a good ninja, is never be seen!  ph34r.gif
But onto the topic. Well we hear at the house are getting packed up to move into a apartment. Hope by Friday. And trying to come up with some extra money to buy some silver, before I miss that train for a third time.  oops.gif  I missed out on buying it at about $4 a ounce and its now $40 a ounce!!! ranting.gif  I had $3k set aside but talked myself out of it! It would only be worth about $30k right now, no big deal ( said in a crying voice).  laugh.gif  But I have missed out on a few killer trains like this eBay, GM, Netflix, Silver, and a few others, but those jump out the most.
But how you been? Collage fun? Parties? Learning anything cool? cool.gif
If you party just be careful, I used to drive those kids around when I was driving a Taxi, and they were fun but were a little crazy and sometimes a big headache. But over all most of them were really cool. I missed out on the collage life, I turn down a full paid scholarship. I know crazy right? But it wasn't what I wanted to do. I have thought about going back. Just not sure for what? There is not a lot that interests me career wise. And most things that I do like, they cant really teach me about anyway. But time will tell.  cool.gif

But anyway let us know how life going for you there?

Edge we knew you were comin around over here! College is pretty awesome being at Illinois and majoring in sports management is cool since most of the basketball and football players major in it I have gotten to know the athletes pretty well which is awesome...and yea im careful with the partying haha got in a bit of trouble about a month and ahalf ago and learned my lesson

And if you decide to go back I can definitely see you in a program like I am with sport management...can do anything from running a park district to being an agent (which I planned on doing but now am leaning towards high school athletic administration)...but I would definitely encouraging going back for something that interests you there truly is something for everyone

This is extremely unfortunate. I truly feel, at least to the younger generation such as myself, that Manny's talents as such a great hitter are underrated because of his whole "Manny being Manny" scheme. His antics took away from the fact that he probably was, in my opinion, one of the best 5-10 pure hitters that I have seen (just turned 19 Tuesday so havent seen many but you get the point). It is just sad to see that he had to take this route, but it is what it is...

Pitching wise I think pretty much the entire A's rotation...Cahil, Anderson, Gonzalez, Braden

Offensively I like Stubbs and Castro as well and Mike Stanton
