Who would be your favorite sports player in any sport with an odd personality on the feild ? My pick would be Mark (The Bird) Fidrych the Detroit Tigers pitcher from the 70's. My second pick would be Bill (spaceman) Lee. The pitcher from the Redsox. Fidrych was fun to watch on the mound, seeing what he was going to do. Or he would start talking to the ball. I think he even went up to a batter and shook his hand after a good hit.

Bill Lee on the other hand was one of the kind of people who would speak his mind, even tho you would sit there and say to yourself, what is he talking about.

I've said this before (although he's not really a favorite player), but I always did get a kick out of John Rocker.

I think it was Turk Wendell that would hop over the base lines on the way back and forth to the mound. And I don't know if you would call him a "sports player" but as far as athletes go we haven't mentioned Tyson yet!!!!!!!!!
