Sweet Spot has a new configuration this year. When I was reading the sell sheet I have to admit I got pretty confused. However, we ordered a box for our group break and once I got it, it all kind of made sense.

There are six packs a box. Each pack is an individually wrapped mini-box and contains either a jersey or autograph card. One of the six mini-boxes has a tin in it. This mini-box weighs considerably more than the rest of the packs, so you can tell easily which one has the tin in it. However, the tin does not always have a great card in it. Our tin had just a regular jersey card of Roberto Alomar. So, DON'T GO PACK SEARCHING FOR THE TIN THINKING YOU ARE GOING TO GET A SWEET SPOT AUTO.

I've seen several people bust this on line. Typically, each six pack box has 4 jerseys, one rookie auto, and one sweet spot auto. The rookie autos are not helmet autos like last year. They are just regular sticker card autos.

Our box had 5 jersey cards and one sweet spot auto. We did not get a rookie auto.

Our Sweet Spot auto was a decent one, Jim Thome, but it was numbered to 350, which was a little surprising.

The jersey cards are non-descript. But I like the base card design. They have baseball seams crimped into them and the photos are very nice. I think Upper Deck has made an effort to get back to putting nice photography onto some of their sets.

The checklist this year seems better than years past. After some scouring on eBay I was able to see some HOFers, veterans, and other notables for sale. I even saw an Albert Pujols. So, there are some nice hits available.

Overall, I think this was a decent product. Prices should come down on it, so don't be afraid to pick up a box if it gets below $100.
