Break Format:

- After the verification process, we'll talk boxes. We will all vote on at least 6 different box variations. My hope is that we pick a lot of boxes with a lot of hits so that we can spread the love.

- $20 Paypal per spot will get you 3 rounds in a draft for 3 teams. First round is drafted, the reverse of that draft is the second round, and the third is another random draft. That said, you cannot draft the same team in 1st round in back to back months (In other words, if you pick the Yankees in the first round this month, you can't pick them in the first round next month).

- Payment will be due once all members are verified for the month. Then, and only then, will I post my Paypal address and accept payments. I want to make sure we're all on board. Those who wish to use something other than Paypal (trades, money orders, checks, pie, etc) will have to PM me.

- Shipping, Paypal fees, and supplies will roughly cost around $3.00 a person. That leaves us with roughly $170 a month to work with.

- You will receive every card for every team you drafted, including base cards.

- Team issues: Player's uniform dictates who the card goes to. If a player played for a defunct team, he goes to the modern incarnation of that team (ex. Expos = Nationals).

- Multi Memorabilia and/or signatures are randomed between the teams UNLESS one team/owner outweighs the other on a card. For example... A card featuring David Wright and Chipper Jones would be randomed off between Mets and Braves. However, a card featuring Jon Lestor, Josh Beckett, and Andy Pettite (Red Sox, Red Sox, Yankees) would go to the Red Sox owner. If it's three or more different teams and someone owns the majority of the teams, it goes to that person.

- Non-baseball cards are proportionately randomed between all members (celebrity cards, strange subsets, etc). That is to say that if we have 10 different random cards, once one person wins one, he's out of the loop to give the other 9 a shot (and so on).

- Minor League and college players go to the teams they were drafted to UNLESS it states on the card that they are on a MLB team. If they are undrafted, they are randomed.

- Each month, the Wax Wombat kicks in a box. No, it won't be anything expensive. No, it may not always be a hobby box. It could be a blaster or a multi-pack retail box. Bonus boxes will be revealed during the breaks.

- Transactions for the break are made after the break is finished. Shipping of your cards will be the first convenient weekday.

Important discussion!

I want the April break to coincide with the Wacky Waxbustin' Weekend on April 3 and 4.

Firstly, what that means is...

I'm going to need the majority of payments with then next 2.5 weeks (somewhere around 28th thru 30th). Where I buy our cards depends on when the majority of money has been received.

So, if we want to make this happen, you need to verify and start saving pennies or sending paypals/money orders/cash/smuggled spices and/or shrunken heads.

Secondly!

In order to get the draft done quickly - I am proposing the entire draft be randomed off.

Thirdly!

Instead of tossing in an extra box, I'll eat all the postage - leaving us with $200 to spend on boxes. We either quickly suggest what we'd like to have and I pick and choose - OR you let me surprise you all on the day of the break with what we're opening (3-4 boxes).

If we get the payments (or the majority) of them within the next week we'll do a very quick draft UNLESS everyone else is cool with just random, then we'll random.

As for a list of products... It'll be easier to say that we won't do anything we've busted before.

Put simply... Names (each one 3 times) go on a list and randomly generated. Teams on another list, randomly generated. Match names to teams.

I kinda hate to be a spoilsport, since everyone seems to be on board with randomizing, I'm not sure I am to be honest. I'd like a chance to pick my teams if I'm able. I mean, I'd hate to have the number one pick and be given the Royals with it when I would normally pick the Yankees with it. Just my two cents.

Perfectly understandable. But, hey, if we get everyone paid quickly... We will do a fast draft (or we could draft the first 10 and random the last 20?)

How about everyone send in a Proxy list of the teams they want (obeying the last month rule of course) by a certain date. Those who are already paid get priority. in the draft order.

I'm thinking each list should be about 12 teams long? Longer? Lists in team preference order.

Does that sound better? Worse?

As far as the draft goes I am down for however. If folks want to do the whole draft thats fine. If we just wanna draft the first round thats fine. If we want it to be a proxy deal thats fine... I gotta be honest though.. since we want to bust it on Wacky Waxbusting Weekend it seemed kind of oddly appropriate for it to be a fully random draft.. theme of Wacky and all..

but seriously if its not gonna be totally random maybe we could limit the draft to Rd 1 in an interest of time but like I already said I am down wiht whatever...

Esp if it includes Donruss EEE 09 too.hint hint...LOL
