My wife is on a road trip for the weekend with her sisters and got me a surprise before she left.

8 packs of 15-16 UD 1, she said she found them at a Dollar Store for a $1 a piece, Really!!! But there's only 4 cards per pack but says there's YGs in the packs??

But to keep this short, out of the 8 packs, all base This is not the way to start the new year

But for all you Set collector's here's my base traders...

Bummer that they were all base. Did it have odds on the YGs on the packs? I have never seen those at the dollar store, curious on whether worthwhile. Need some base for my set, but not sure on the numbers and figuring I am going to try to find some more blasters.

The only thing it says is Randomed Cards inserted, no odds! The store is the "Dollar Tree" most of the time they have some kind of hockey, I pulled a Rangers GU out of a OPC pack from there years back, for a Dollar I'll buy them, you never know where those YGs are in it but they're in them.

The Most good thing about these $1 packs that Upperdeck made, is that they are thinking about the Low income folks that cant buy a box or Hobby Packs from target/walmart, great for young collectors!

That must be a different retail as the ones I got in the retail box at Target had 8 cards in the packs. I looked up the $70 retail boxes on DA and that one says 5 cards per pack, but the box pictured says 8 per pack. 8 for $3 or 4 for $1, just wonder if the inserts are at the same ratios.

I've never seen hockey at my Dollar Tree, nice find.

Brian - the Parkhurst Blasters/Tins have the 8 cards per pack and I think the odds are the same as hobby for YG's and such, the regular blasters have 5 cards per pack, and the YG's are 1:6 packs instead of 1:4. I think that's how it goes

Me neither, my Dollar tree usually has the non sport stuff and sometimes baseball.

I have not seen any of the Parkhurst blasters here at all. I did see the ones with the oversize YG. Yeah I forgot regular retail blasters are 5 cards a pack with 2 yg per 12 pack box. Did not realize the tins had more cards in them.

I never posted the packs because they where all base again, the box has a flap on the bottom of it where the packs pull out, still only 4 cards per pack, from what it looked like it had about 30-40 packs in it but could be wrong, bet only two YG's in the whole box, or just one.

A friend of mine works there, said there's two shelf boxes left in the backroom as they just got them in with some foosball cards, figured the time you bought a whole box at $30-40 you might get Two low end YG's. doubt if a Mcdavid or Larkin are in them.
