I'm hoping to hit the ground running in 06 with some additions to my personal collection as well as A LOT MORE trade bait. I can't pass on all the details now...but I have a friend of mine that does a lot of estate auctions and he's keeping his eyes open for collections. He sold one recently...over 250,000 cards from the 60's, 70's, up to the mid 80's.....the entire collection went for the astounding price of $115 at auction!!!!!!! Had I known about it...my family and I would be living outside while I stored the cards here in the house.

I used to work next to a military base....never so much fun in my life as when I had the opportunity to stop a Lt. Col. or a Full Bird Col. for a traffic violation.....those guys think they're God's Gift to the Military Service.

Stopped a bird col. one night and when I made contact with him he asked me "do you know who I am???" Well Sir, according to you drivers license...it says....

Everything went downhill from there and I nearly had to arrest him to get him to sign the ticket. Another one of my favorites to stop was a 21 or 22 year old 1st LT....attitude was all those guys had!!!!

I suggest that the post count be counted for all post OUTSIDE of the trade forums because those post don't really contribute to the site...just my opinion.

on beckett, many kids get 1,000 post within the month simply by posting a bunch of stuff up for trade in various threads and reply with "bump", "ttt", "no thank you" , "anyone"...but don't really participate in other forums and then disappear for good.

As far as the bumpming goes we only allow for creative bumping. All others will be deleted. I wish there were a way to sperate some of the or LOL that I've seen plenty of people use only for one thing to boost posts. I'm sure you can actually put some simple words of thought into your posts. But what can you do? Bob has removed my delete button or some people wouldn't be allowed to do it!

I've been posting like crazy over my days off...especially yesterday (Sunday) with all the football stuff going on and my average is still something around 9 per day. Oh well....at least I've been able to make good on my word at the beginning of the year that after a slow December I would be coming out like gang busters in the New Year.

Did you know I used to be Computer Professinal? Of Course I was. I quit fixing the computer because got bored of it, but can still remembered how to fix it a lot. Its depend though, you know. Well, did you know most HP Brand of computer that Hackjacking can enter any of other HP computer in about 6 month after if you bought it? Its just ridicolous. I mostly fix HP Computers and set secure stuff in it.

got a nice site and from what i have expirenced so far a nice bunch of mods... that DOES make a big difference... members dont wanna be active on a site that doesnt mod or selectively mods, they will just scan quickly thru a site like that... the whole idea is to keep them active and let it flow... keep up the good work guys!!!!

Thanks for the positive feedback about the site. And, yes, we've been very careful about selecting a top-quality team to help members as they spend their time here at the Collector Zone. Although, we don't call the team members "mods" and only a small portion of our time is spent moderating. http://www.tradingcardcentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=6227 for more about the purpose of the TCC Team.

What we've really learned here is the incredible influence of a positive, family-friendly environment. Within minutes or hours, our members get a true feeling for what goes on here and what can go on here. Then, we've found that just about everyone does their best to keep the environment and tone just like they were when they arrived. Of course, the team members all have the traditional moderating tools, but our members have really become self-moderating! It's been great to watch!

That'll work!!!!!! With two days in court it's going to a few low post days for me....working 6pm until 2am tonight....then taking call from 2am to 6am...then court from 8:00 AM until who knows tomorrow.

I'm really irritated about the court.....it's a stupid felony probation revocation hearing that I'm going on and there's four hearings on the docket tomorrow....so I could be on the first case on the docket.....I could be on the last one....all I know is that we ALL have to be there at 8:00 AM and wait our turn...no matter where we fall on the docket.
