So on schedule for today was #2 Syracuse and then the Knicks shortly afterwards. Today was better than Thursday but based on my expections for today and what I was aiming for, it kinda was a failure. First with the Syracuse Orange. I thought about doing them at MSG but instead I decided to wait for them at their hotel. FAIL. I was there from around 2 to like a quarter past 3 and didn't see their bus. My friend said they may have checked out prior. So after all that time I gave up and went on my way to the Garden for the Knicks. When I got there I was a couple minutes late for Herb Williams and another coach or two. So I'll skip right to who I got:

Took pics with Shumpert, Harrelson and Fields. With their roster, I don't have anything for like almost half the team. Amare and Baron Davis didn't sign for me and Chandler, Balkman and Bill Walker didn't really sign. I was pretty much the only person out of around 20 people that Amare didn't sign for...hopefully I'll get him on my 8x10 with Carmelo and Billups this year. Although today wasn't so good for me, a few of the people there make it worth it to be there. I love being around some of the people I've met while getting autos. Considering the weather is good, I'll be going back Monday for the Jazz and Friday is possible with the Lakers and Dwayne The Rock Johnson! Thanks for reading.

Yesterday went just as I hoped with the Jazz. Also found out that morning Eli Manning would be on Letterman. Waited before and after I went for the Jazz but he didn't sign coming in. Here'd how I did with Utah:

Well today was a great day. Went for the Lakers and The Rock. I was gonna go for LA first and then The Rock after but I was advised to get Rock first. I waited for him with a few other people there for over and hour. Later I see someone running out of the entrance as Rock's car was heading into the garage. He ran over to the door and he rolled down the window. I ran over but not quick enough, he signed for a few. After that I decided to go for the Lakers and try for Rock again when he was leaving. For the Lakers I was a little unsure because I was a little late and saw no one waiting for them. There was only this one guy for Kobe, another collector and a few girls for a little while. I ended up with:

I missed/didn't recognize a couple players. Metta World Peace didn't sign and Derek Fisher was tough....he was ignoring the kid with me but finally signed for him, didn't sign for me of course. As you could probably guess, Kobe didn't sign. A few others would've signed but this lady was walking them to the bus and said they were running late. But one player said he'd love to sign.

After that I headed back to Fallon's show. As I would've guessed there were 20-25 people waiting by the garage. After a little bit of time, the SUV came up, the passenger window rolled down and there he was. He signed for everyone, it was tough getting your item to him though. Thank God I'm tall. I wanted him to sign with my gold but it wasn't very possible to. Either way, I'm delighted. My first ever wrestling auto and it's The Rock.

Yesterday I went for the Mavs/Knicks and then the Rangers before their game.
Not a very good day, was also a little late for the Mavs.

McGrady was the only player that just didn't sign. I wanted to use a blank 8x10 to get Tracy at first. But my friend told me from earlier in the day that their security guy doesn't let em sign blanks....so I printed it. Apparently he doesn't like them signing more than 1 thing for you too. I had an old small photo of Stack but he didn't sign it. I mean back off, if he wants to sign 2 for you than he will.




Next up could be after the Devils/Canucks tomorrow and then possibly after the Devils/Lightning Sunday. After that could be a couple weeks. Thanks for reading.

Yesterday I graphed some NCAA and hockey. I'd been considering going in for the Big East tournament but for the past couple days was pretty unsure because all the teams stay at different places and I was only able to find a couple. I was pretty doubtful for yesterday but made a last-minute decision to go. Mainly I was aiming for Syracuse but wouldn't have time for UConn (Calhoun) and couldn't try the other teams. Well I actually saw Derrick Coleman there. I heard other alumni could be around but that was it as far as I know. He was doing something with ESPN radio so he was right in the lobby. One of the bellhops told me to just go inside and get him. I had a blank 8x10 for him but he said he doesn't sign those. So the guy next to him ended up giving me a Big East media guide for him to sign. Eventually the bus came, and I got:

Coach Boeheim 8x10 (That was great cuz I was told he didn't sign in the morning)
Had Kris Joseph, Scoop Jardine, James Southerland, Brandon Triche (I think), Michael Carter-Williams and Nick Resavy (I think) sign my Syracuse custom 8x10

I missed Fab Melo and one player declined to sign.

At night, I hit up the Islanders/Devils after their game with my friend. Things didn't go as I hoped. The Islanders actually went through the side entrance so you couldn't get them. I was bummed about that but I was surprised how crowded it was outside. I don't think I ever see that many for basketball. It might even be a Miami Heat type crowd. I guess people love hockey around here. So after we went to the Devils side and it was crazy...I'm telling you there must've been 100 people waiting. I mean it was just insane, I couldn't believe it. Never once seen a crowd anywhere near that for the Nets ever. What I love is the players will still sign for crowds like that too! I didn't get as many as I hoped but I just couldn't believe it, it was unreal. To my Devils 8x10 I added Bryce Salvador, Ryan Carter, Adam Henrique and David Clarkson.






Clarkson actually got out of his car and signed for everyone. I never see a player get out of his car to sign. Just wow! Thanks for reading.

Thanks Silly. Well I have a bit of a busy week coming up. Here's what's on the agenda:

Yesterday - Nets/Bucks game
Thursday - Devils/Avalanche game (first hockey game in 15-16 years)
Saturday - Nets/Hornets game (been looking forward to this all year)

I'll also be graphing the Penguins/Devils with my friend before the Nets game Saturday.

The Nets/Bucks game went fine. Could've done better but 4-5 players didn't travel.

When Joe Wolf was signing the UNC photo he asked who else signed it. At the time I couldn't remember Marvin Williams and Joe was criticizing their penmanship haha. For Goldwire, I had him sign this pic I made that I trimmed to the size of a card. I was surprised that he really liked it and wanted one and even wanted me to email it to him and he'd hook me up or whatever...after the game he gave me his email address. That was pretty cool. Anyway, last night my friend had row 1 seats right by the Bucks bench. After the game I was hoping I might get something thrown into the crowd by the players. Brandon Jennings actually threw his jersey in the crowd, but went some rows over us. So outside, we didn't have access to the visitors this time so we went over to the Nets. Only one player signed, DeShawn Stevenson. Added him to my Nets 8x10. So cool stuff with last night. I also might get a courtside visit for the Hornets game Saturday....my friend is just crazy. Knows the right time to lie...lol. Thanks for reading.

I went to my long-awaited hockey game last night and I had a blast. Devils beat out Colorado 1-0 in a shootout. It was pretty cool seeing a shootout live. We just went for autos after the game. It was just bad for me. It was even more crowded than when I went last week. Must've been 50 people there and that made it very tough. The only other times I experienced a crowd like this, where you just hope the guy will sign for you, was when I'd try to get the Mets players in Shea/Citi Field. The combination of the crowd, plus me not knowing players well, plus few people actually knowing who the guy signing is really made it close to impossible. I wasn't able to get guys like Jean-Sebastian Giguere, Ryan O'Reilly and a few others I can't remember. I also tried getting a blank signed by Landeskog (who apparently is really good) but I couldn't get him. I also made custom cards of coach Joe Sacco and LW Jamie McGinn but I never saw them. I was fearing a shutout and I felt it was best to goto the Devils side. Shockingly, there wasn't as big a crowd as last time. Well here's what I came away with:

Very bad night for me in the autograph department but hey, I really enjoyed the game. I'm just glad to have some friends that tolerate this. Tomorrow I'll be graphing the Devils/Penguins after their game and then the Nets/Hornets game afterwards. It appears I will be having a courtside visit for the game tomorrow so this will be a cool experience for my friend, he never goes to games. Hasn't been to one since going with me a few years ago. I did very good yesterday. I started off with the Penguins/Devils after their game. Couldn't get there a little quicker and it was packed, we were behind 4-5 rows of people. I'd say maybe 100 people there (after the Nets game there were like at most 15 people waiting for the Hornets). I got:

Because of the crowd, I missed out on alot. Fleury, Tyler Kennedy, Crosby, Staal, Letang, Steve Sullivan, few others. I made a card for Richard Park but he didn't sign for anyone. Shortly after was the Hornets/Nets game. I was sporting my Charlotte Hornets jacket, hat and teal tee. I did get the courtside visit for today. Only downside was he got me a little late. I missed Ariza, Jason Smith and someone else I couldn't recognize. I did get:

Eric Gordon was the only one that didn't really sign. He did however sign at halftime, I didn't get to him. Hornets got a nice win. After the game I was hoping I'd get something thrown from a Hornet but they didn't really throw anything up. This guy asked Kaman for his sneakers and Kaman had this hilarious grumpy look on his face. After the game I went outside to the Hornets side and everything went well. For round 2:

I had Smith sign his card when I still had Vasquez's signed card out and he started to sign Vasquez's before he realized it wasn't him. I tried my best removing Smith from Vasquez but my best wasn't good enough. Kaman was the only one that didn't signed after. He was like "I already signed 10,000 inside, I'm not signing." Some of the guys got a good laugh out of that. After that I wanted to check out the Nets side quick to see if my friend could get Deron Williams. As soon as we got there Jordan Farmar stopped to sign. I ran over there in time and got him to sign my Nets 8x10. He signed it upside down though lol. Looks kinda cool. Deron Williams left a few minutes later and some guys tried running after his car.






It was a long day but a good one. My friend wasn't into as much as me but he did get Adam Henrique, Fred Vinson, Marco Belinelli, Jarrett Jack and Eric Gordon. This is up there for most autos I've ever gotten in a day. I actually did get 21 a couple years ago vs the Wizards. Couple possible graphing days for this week. Might go for the Raptors in the city with my friend Tuesday and might go for the Rangers opponent Weds or Friday (Red Wings and Sabres). Thanks for reading.

Mike, I've gotten used to the crowds. However I never see big ones. Only for the Devils (and I suppose the Rangers). I haven't done the Devils much but haven't gotten either one yet. I believe Kovi is your best bet and Brodeur is rare. Linsanity itself has affected how the players drive in. I'm not sure how it is now.

Well I had a busy day with autographs yesteday. I met up with my friend in NYC to get the Bucks and then later at night we'd be back at it, getting autos after the Jazz/Nets game. Also I read Shaq would be a guest on Jon Stewart's show. If I was finished with the Bucks early enough, I'd give it a shot for Shaq. Things went fine with the Bucks. I got:

Jennings didn't sign, no surprise. Delfino signed for one guy and not for me. Udrih didn't sign and I don't think Kwame Brown traveled. We saw Moncrief come out briefly, then Gooden came out to sign, and poof. We didn't see Moncrief again. Should've seen that coming haha. Everyone else was fine. I was done a little early so I had enough time to try and get Shaq. I got there with time to spare, but there were like 25-30 people there waiting. I wasn't able to get him but was a little close. It was finally time to get back to Jersey. But I didn't have much time to relax because 45 minutes after I got home, my friend was back. It was time for the Jazz. I barely got my Jazz stuff in time. However it turned out this time around, the visitors would be going out the side. But that didn't mean we were screwed. A couple went up to the fence to sign.

After seeing no one else come by to sign, we checked out the Nets for a little but had no luck with them.





Yes, that Evans was printed upside-down. Doesn't look too bad. I just cannot get blanks signed horizontally. I don't know if I have to do some kind of collabration with the printer or something but it seems nothing goes right. Did a few test prints prior and still couldn't make sense of anything. I'd put in a paper and then the next one I'd flip it around and both sheets were still printed out the same way. Really doesn't make any sense...
I might hit up the city again at the end of the week. Thanks for reading as always.
