I knew yesterday it was supposed to snow heavily to the south of us - but I didn't think that FAR south!

Jack Frost called, he said he has been whacking us for too long and that you sun lovers needed a good blast!

The high today was a whopping 19 degrees...the wind never quit blowing less than 20 mph until after sundown tonight. They were calling for a low of 9 for tonight....that has since dropped to a low of 6. Great thing about it...I came home this afternoon to find out that our furnace went out...we're reduced to keeping the oven and three space heaters cranked up to full blast to stay warm. We're lucky enough to have electric blankets on the beds so at least there will be one warm place in the house and we sent the kids to stay with the in=laws so they'll have a warm house to sleep in.

Well its a big 1 degree here 4-6 inches of the white stuff has fallen and still blowing. so I'll trade you yours for ours!

That's OK....I'll keep what we have.....but appreciate the thought. I would love to be at my cousins resort in Costa Rica right now...should have taken that job when I had the chance!!!!!!

Try Living in Nebraska it was -20 Wind Chill Last Night Its -10 or -15 Tonight and its only gonna get colder and my Furnace Went out Yesterday and we had no heat Last Night thank god for Space Heaters!

It's not considered cold here in Boston until the harbor freezes.

Our windchills were running below 0 most of the day all today and was around 10 below last night when the wind was really kicking it up. I miss central Texas.....Lubbock is entirely too close to Canada for my taste. I will admit that I'm a warm weather person...give me 105 degrees any day of the week over this crap.

Well it past us. -11 this morning and around 3-5 inches. I don't mind the snow its the cold that gets me. The snowfall we got yesterday was heading north east so it looks like Ill and Ind will be getting it from us.

I used to live in the interior of Alaska. The average HIGH temp from November - March was -20F. The coldest I experienced there was -53F air temp (not factoring in wind chill).

Here in California, in the Sierra Nevada foothills, today will be partly cloudy with a high of 60F and a low of 25F.

Interestingly, I'd rather be in Alaska. But, that's another story.

I grew up in NE South Dakota. -11 degrees, we would call that a "darn nice day"

I think Dallas, Texas has the worst weather in the country. I been there in ice storms and oppressing HEAT.

No No & No, You can keep the cold weather as a present. The people in the Great White North -Surrey,BC don't know how to drive in the snow.Because we don't get much of it very often . It turns into a gong show for getting anywhere. It is 0 degrees today - snow has gone. Forcast is 5+ degrees with sun for Fri & Sat.

There is some light at the end of the tunnel....highs Saturday and Sunday in the low 50's with lows at night being somewhere in the mid 20's. Only disadvantage is that I will be back on my regular work schedule starting Saturday night so I'll get to work during the coldest hours. Advantage of working in colder weather....you stop someone who has been drinking and the odor of alcohol seems to carry better in the colder air...much the same as it is very easy to smell alcohol on someone when it's hot because the odor comes out in their sweat.

Yeah the cold keeps alot of criminals insde also!

im so mad at the contractors with my house, my heat worked for 2 years no problem they start messing with it and now it keeps going out!! and its like 0 and -10 windchill!! not happy!!
