My brother recently went to a sale that one of the self storage places where he lives had. He bid on and won the rights to the contents of an abandoned storage unit that had about 40,000 baseball cards in it. He went out and bought a baseball card value book and in this book it says that a 1960 Gino Cimoli #58 card where he is wearing a cardinals uniform but the card says he plays for the pirates is worth $13,500. I told him that I don't think that is true, but thought I'd ask on here and find out more info. Any help is appreciated. The book he used as a reference is called the 2007 Standard Catalogue of Baseball Cards printed by Krause Publishing.

The Cimoli card wasn't the one at $13,500. The one he was refering to is kent Hadley at auction in 1999. There have been no recent sales on the Cimoli card. Topps has been selling off a lot of proof cards on Ebay the past few years. But nothing that rare. Their Ebay auctions are under the name of The Topps Vault.
