I have to agree with Steve, that this was not the best month for hits.  There were definately more bummers than highlights, but the SPA was the best with two nice Doughty autos (one a FW), the Varlamov rc.  The J. Staal rookie year jersey in Hot Prospects was not a bad hit either, but the Rookie patch redemption was eh!  Champs really was not great, but I guess we should not complain, we did beat the odds (got 4 hits), but the extra was a duplicate.    Should have went with 07-08 BAP as opposed to 06-7 to allocate the years better and maybe get some better hits.  Overall this was not bad just not great either.  Here is hoping next month we get the hot boxes and super mojo!

Well put Brian. I also wish that instead of one pack of Trilogy you would've gone with a Series 1 blaster as it would likely get us a few YGs which would've meant more hits (more than likely) to be spread around.

I dunno. 1 nice jersey vs. a blaster with 2 YGs? I'd take the trilogy pack any day.

Definitely not the most inspiring of months. We couldn't even find a lot of star player minis in Champs. I think mostly, Champs was not the best choice for a group break like this, since it's more of a set builder's product. But I was just as curious as everyone else about it, so it was worth a shot.

So not a great month, but not too bad. And there's always next month to turn it around. I would definitely bust SPA again. With the Notables/HoloFx/Limited it's really become the most fun of any product this year. Plenty of minor inserts to keep things interesting from pack to pack, plus the usual 3 awesome hits.

My blasters have always been dead on at two per. Besides I think full boxes of S1 are more reasonable at $53 vs $20 for a blaster considering they give 6YGs, 2 gu, and a chance at a UD Exclusive #/100 or a case hit. Also on the Trilogy, I thought we might get lucky with an Ice Script or something. Still for the price we did OK.

Maybe next month we can work in a box of UD S1 and UD S2 since there is not much other new stuff. Not sure will need to see what everyone is interested in.

Personally, I don't think it would be a good idea to bust S1, S2, and SPA all in one month, I just think it's a little overkill in terms of base for one month. Here's what I might suggest, assuming the budget is still $325:
