It doesn't make sense - isn't it one of the most universal sport in the world? Interesting note - baseball was a demonstration sport in 1984 and a Medal sport starting 1992. As Mr Oscar Meyer would say "baloney!"

Sort of surprising, although personally I won't miss it. Rugby would be a cool alternative, but don't see why they'd look to include golf if they dropped baseball...
I think it comes down to the roid's problem the sport has...
