Here's a 1996 Collector's Choice Gold Signature. This is the product that got me back interested in collecting. I have bunches of this stuff. It was really fun to break, was very inexpensive, and the design was pretty well done.

Ok, here are some of the least known (and I think for that reason, my favorite) Griffey items I own. I may be one of the only people on the planet that knows and cares about these things. They are ads for SPx Finite that were inserted in the center of Beckett Baseball Card Monthly in July 1998. Larry Walker is on the cover. There are 4 different versions, of which I have 3 and am missing the fourth for my set. One of them is numbered to 25,000. Another to 100,000. and the other to 225,000. I'm guessing the one I don't have is numbered to 50,000 or 10,000. I would love to pick up a truckload of these, but a Beckett with a Larry Walker cover isn't going to be very popular on Ebay. So, if anyone has that Beckett with the ad inside, please PM me. I'd be very interested in purchasing it from you. Thanks! Here they are.

Oh yeah, I nearly forgot one of my other pride and joy Griffey subcollections.

I have 9 full boxes of 1989 Pacific Ken Griffey Jr. Candy Bars, one of which is still sealed with a sticker, I believe this to be factory sealed. Don't have a camera, but hopefully one day I'll get a pic to show.

Griffey's a future HOFer and he is playing really well right now, but his cards don't cost what they used to. If he can stay healthy and play a few more seasons, I think he's got a chance to really finally complete a great career. I think people will come back to him later in his career. He should also get traded to a team that has a better market.

Anyhow, I thought I'd pick one of these up before he retires and his cards get expensive again.

The moral of the story is, very nice cards you have and hang onto them. I think you will see an increase in his value soon.

Just picked up a new card that I've been after for quite some time. It from the much loved 1996 Collector's Choice set. It is a You Crash the Game Gold Redemption card. It is redeemed and has a gold star in the bottom right corner and is actually made of wood on the front. These are very hard to find. I bid over $30 on one on Ebay and lost! A few days later a second one ended and I won that one for about $12 with shipping.
