I always enjoy your updates. I really have to start TTM collecting. I want to get my daughter involved. Any tips or resources for beginners?

QUOTE(jaderock @ Nov 10 2022, 08:46 PM)
Today's NEW addition:

SSP

2021 Panini Legacy Retired Dare to Tear (Ripped) Mark Brunell - When this came out there were 3 that surfaced, but each Unripped verison went for $80-120 which I thought was hign and passed. Then the whole summer went by without another one surfacing. Grabbed this one as soon as I saw it last month.

Thanks for looking and now jadeROCKing into the 4th decade!

Cool! Did you save any money or were they going for around the same amount?

Richards was a legend. We had the pleasure of sharing a meal together back when I was in DC traveling and I'll cherish that experience forever. I'll also never forget our conversations, especially when he would tell me I was wrong about something or wrong in the way I handled a situation. I was young when I joined here and Richard did a great job leading by example. His generosity had no limits.

If there is a heaven I hope he makes it. RIP.

Power is still spotty here. No internet or cable. (using my inlaws)

Just today i saw NO meat, dairy, bread, produce or frozen products at walmart or winndixie.

Feeling blessed nonetheless. If the eye would have hit us... We'd be screwed.

I live next to Tampa and everyone here is freaking out. The tracker shows the storm could demolish the area but I'm hoping it changes course somewhat. I'm not planning on evacuating since I'm not in a bad flood area, but I know a lot of people have evacuated on the east side of the state.

Be safe brother.

j, pack up and come north

I can out you up for a couple of days , we have plenty of water with no waiting

I know you mean that brother and I appreciate it! However, I have to humbly decline. Besides my wife and daughter I have additional responsibilities and people to look after... (Grandparents, inlaws, aunts, etc) In a perfect world we'd pack up and leave but the world isn't perfect... Alot of people need my wife's and I help..

Ive been busy purchasing food/supplies for a lot of folks who need help. (BTW, all big box stores are out of water today. Trucks should replenish during the night)

Also, preparing for the aftermath. (Chainsaws, machetes, garbage bags, etc)

Thanks for thinking of me. cool.gif

The water line at my local Costco was 2.5 hours and a limit of 4 cases per buggy. Waited another 30 min or so to get gas... I suppose us in South Florida aren't taking any chances with Irma. DollarTree, Publix, Walmart, etc are all crazy today. Everyones already run out of water.

I have 17 month old daughter so my planning and strategy is a bit different now. Us men always have that macho personality but now that Im a family man, I leave nothing to chance.

Prayers to everyone in the Caribbean and in my neck of the woods.

We havent forgotten about your Houston but all our plans to help out are on hold until we Hurricane Irma passes by.

TCC,

We all called this place home once. Some still do... Try and recall any member in the Houston area you've ever dealt with and lets make sure they're okay and try to assist if we can. The one member I remember from Sugarland, TX says he's well but I'm sure there were members here from the Houston area.

Go to the other forums you frequent in any niche and do the same... Let's all do out part....
