The order of posts will determine the order in which we pick the teams that we will get cards of!! The rules will be post once everyone has joined or posted here!! LMK I will be first then we will draft in order and so on!!

Basketball Box Busters Group:

Overview
There will be a total of 10 members. Each member gets three teams: one chosen and possibly two drafted. You must clearly identify which team is your first and which team is your second. The league is open for trading teams. There will be a monthly draft to determine the drafted teams. Then Membership fees will be $30. plus $5 for shipping. Any extra will cary over!!Membership fees will go to purchasing basketball hobby boxes. The boxes will be broken live (may be by video, I dont have a web cam so...) by one of the members (the breaking member will most likely change month to month). Each member will get all cards (base, insert, and hits) for the three teams they have.

Dates
Discussion about what boxes to break for the month will begin in a new thread on the 1st of each month.

Fees must be paid by the 20th of the month. If circumstances make it so that you cannot make that deadline, contact the member collecting fees for that month and it becomes the box breakers discretion. Please pay as earlier as possible to help ensure everything progresses smoothly.

The draft will begin no later the 21st and continue until completion. If fees are collected prior to the 21st, then the draft may start at that point.

Boxes will be ordered no later than the 25th (leeway will be granted for new products being released shortly after the 25th). Boxes may be ordered sooner than the 25th if everyone agrees on the products to be purchased

The breaks will take place as soon as the boxes arrive. The person doing the break must do a video break and provide a team-by-team breakdown of the break.

The Draft
At the beginning of every month, each member will be assigned a random number (1-10) 2 rounds second in reverse order Each member will then take turns picking a team from the available list. You may trade draft picks with other members (before or after the draft) as long as the trade is announced to the group before the break. You may also trade away your draft pick for cards or other things as long as you have paid your monthly fee (i.e. you could trade away next month’s draft pick for a card from the current break as long as you’ve paid next month’s fees).

What about dual, triple, quad hits?
Preference will always go to the member with the owner of a chosen team over a drafted team. For example, if Member A has chosen the Bulls as his team and Member B has drafted the Clippers, a card featuring a Bull and a Clipper would go to Member A. If ownership cannot determine who gets a card, then the member with the lowest total hits over the time that both members have been in the club will get the card. For example, member A joined in January and member B joined in March: it is now May. The total of each members hit count in March and April would be used. If this number is a tie, then the tie will be broken by using the reverse draft order.

What about retired players?
The uniform the player is wearing on the card dictates what team the card goes to. If the player is wearing a college uniform on clothing other than a uniform, then the card goes to the owner of the last team the player played for. It does not matter if the player currently is involved with some other team (coaching, part owner, general manager, etc…): this plays no role in deciding who gets the card.

Cost
Members will be required to pay a $30 towards the boxes and $5 toward shipping the cards for a total monthly fee of $35. If paying via PayPal, then you must pay enough to cover the PayPal fee. If everyone used PayPal and only paid $30, then the person collecting the money would end up getting shorted $1.50 for each member paying via PayPal. If you want delivery confirmation, then you must pay the $.75 to cover that. Any money left over after the box purchases will first go towards shipping fees. Any money left after that will carry over to the following month’s pool. I am a trusting sole (for better or worse) and am willing to accept payment in any form as long as you have good standing at TCC.

What boxes will be busted?
The members will openly discuss and agree upon what boxes to break each month. Generally speaking, boxes with more hits will be favored as it gives more members a shot at a hit. The number of boxes will vary depending on the cost of the boxes. Boxes will not be purchased on eBay. Boxes will come from dacardworld.com (free shipping at $150), dcssportscards.com (free shipping at $100) or blowoutcards.com (free shipping at $150) depending on prices.

The commitment
Members should plan to be in this for more than just one month. Of course there will be months when members will not be able to participate. When a member must sit out a month, the other members will have first shot at the open team. If no other member is interested, any TCC member may take the slot for that month. If you are permanently withdrawing from the club, please provide as early of a notice as possible so that we can find someone to take your place.

I think we are gonna have a draft and it will go in orders of who posted first then it will reverse in the second round and back around in the 3rd!! As of right now i think we need four more ppl so try doing some recruiting

yeah um we will have a monthly vote, each person can nominate a box they want and then we can vote ranking the top 5 that they want to do and whichever boxes get the most points then those will be the ones we do

viking, you dont even get first pick and riphop dosent get whoever you dont pick, it is in order of how we signed up. so this is the order as of now

1-Boston Bruins
2-viking
3-coltsfan
4-mikebball
5-riphop
and then wherever evank is gonna go. so dont assume you just get to take the bulls or cavs and then riphop gets the other team. this is in order or else i would ha ve picked my teams whenever i signed up.
