Hi guys...time again to start planning our Boxbreakers High End FB Group Break for July. I am posting the team assignments that I am aware of so if you participated last month but want to add, drop, or change a team please let me know asap so I can keep the list accurate.

The cost remains the same at $115 to claim a team and of course you get every card pulled from your team. All boxes will broke on Youtube. The proposed product list is listed below and as always is subject to change based on product availability and final participant count;

2006 National Treasures Box
2007 Leaf Limited Box
2007 UD Premier Case (10 boxes)
2008 National Treasures Case (3 boxes)


Cost per team: $115
Payment deadline: July 18th
Break Date: July25th at 7pm(ct)

We will need to fill as many slots as possible to try to retain this product list so if you may want to join us with one of the available teams please let us know asap! Also, if you were in our break last month and are planning on changing or dropping any teams please let me know that as well asap. Here is our current participant list;

I'll be back with both my teams, I have a large vet bill coming early next week so it will be at the last second but, it will be there.

I'm pretty surprised there was any exquisite on the list this month, its been such a let down month after month.

Could we possibly go to:


2008 National Treasures 2 Case
2007 UD Premier w/ whatever is left


This would be easier to work around if we have less full paid teams.

I definitely prefer 2008 National Treasures over 2007 Exquisite. But that's just me being selfish and wanting chances at some nice Kevin O'Connell rookie pieces.

Updated the list and we have some good teams available now. I eliminated the box of 07 Exquisite as we probably won't have the funds to pick it up. The break is definitely skewed to 08 now but we'll try to even it out next month.

Hey guys...has anyone seen the price of 08 National Treasures! I know 06 and 07 are pretty dried up but 08 seems plentiful but it's priced about $500 more than it has cost in the last few months! I'll need some opinions on whether to stay with 08NT and pare down the product list or do we want to look at alternative products?

06 has shot up even more than that.

I guess you pay for quality, but we were definitely spoiled with the low prices the past 6 months! 07 and 08 Limited seem to be on sale every weekend at BOC, along with 06-08 Absolute. I know, not "high end" but priced to move...

NT08 was at 1919, with NT06 close behind at around 1600 I think.

To me this is a supposed to be high -end and if thats what a high-end product costs then thats what it costs. The main reason i'm in the group is to see packs opened i wouldn't normally get to and have a shot at something really rare, I would rather not open packs of something I can just buy on my own, I could go to the card store right now and get a pack of primeir or abosutle but thats not possible with NT. This is the only group that even has the possibility to open NT and I'd really hate to see this turn in to normal break with 2x the product.

This price of NT08 is higher than the pre-sell, it might(should) go down a little in the next week or so as this is the highest its ever been, it was on sale for 1080 at least within the last 3 weeks so I think its a little early to write it off for good.

They have plenty of NT06 it looks like, and those have 4 boxes in a case for 1600, so if we mix them we won't be at the monthly usual of 9-10 boxes but 7-8 seems realistic.

Sorry to be late on this, but the new house, outdoor projects and the
110 degree heat index's have kept me busy.
We are dropping the Jaguars for now. We were planning on when the 06 stuff ran out, thank goodness the RC he wanted finally hit before that year dried up.

For anyone out the there, the JAGUARS are available.

Cards Infinity doesn't have cases but has 06NT boxes at $300 each. I'm fine sticking with 08NT and will assume it will come down from $1600 but the days of $1100 and under might be over. 08Exquisite is less than 08NT right now so that's always an option as well. Maybe we do a case of 08NT and if we have any remaining we may be able to afford a box (or two if we're lucky) of 06NT at $300 each?

Well, things have calmed down with the two projects (plus yearly inventory) that they had going on at work that kept me so busy.

Problem is that now they added a new.. even bigger "special project" to my plate in their place.

My boss is telling me that I will be I will be "rewarded" for all the work I have done, but we will see. All I know is they better be glad they are doing all this during the NFL offseason!

So, long story short, Otter is welcome to hold the Bears for another month if interested. And I can start hoping that next month will be better.


Edit- the same holds true for the other monthly break with nlr4434 holding the Bears. I couldnt find the thread for that one.

I vote for sticking with the NT's, as the last BIG BREAK provided evidence that they are slighly better on average....

All depends on if we can fill these open slots though!

Thanks for catching that...I updated with this months dates. Payment is due by July 18 and the break on July 25. I confirmed you with the panthers and welcome to the group!

As for products, I agree that we still need to work NT in there but I also think there's enough interest each month in Exquisite as it continues to be mentioned every time we format the products. I guess what I'd like to see is a mix of NT and Exquisite for the most part going forward. Still hard to say for this month based on the number of teams we lost but I'll keep an eye on prices and I'll be ready to jump!

As one of the few that has a team without any legends to pull, i'm thinking the less NT the better. I know that my best pull so far in this group was in NT but sitting there watching legend after legend be pulled and so few contemporary players is... kinda.... not cool.... so i think that exquisite should be more dominant and NT as the "extra" product or save them for the BIG BREAKS.

But that's just me

Hello again all. I regret to say that I have to make a policy change that may not be uber-popular. I am discontinuing all waitlists for claimed teams in all my group breaks. Rather than going into all the reasons why I will just say that it has created more issues for me than it's worth to try to maintain it so with that, it will now be a first come first serve policy with any teams that come open. I'm sorry to have to do this but I will try to keep the lists as current as possible so you know what teams may be coming open. Hope you understand!

I updated the product list as I went ahead and purchased the 08NT at $1450 which is high but the best I've seen in 3 weeks. With single boxes at $500 I changed the list to show any extra funds to go towards 06NT as we should get those for around $300 so we should be able to afford one for sure but hopefully two. Hope this works for everyone as this NT product fluctuation has been causing major headaches the last 3-4 months!

Looks like we're all paid up for the claimed teams which leaves us with 9 available teams. I will open these 9 teams up for the silent bid for any of the current members to bid on starting now and all bids must be received by Tuesday at 9pm(ct). Just a heads up that I will continue to try to fill these slots with new members at the full price of $115 per team up until Tuesday as well so if I get a taker that team may be taken off the board at any time. The minimum bid for any team will be $40 and the available teams are;

Buccaneers
Cardinals
Chargers
Chiefs
Jaguars
Saints
Seahawks
Texans

As for the product list it looks like unless we fill some of these teams with full-paid slots we'll be getting just the one box of 06NT to supplement our two cases (07 Premiere and 08NT). Happy bidding!

For teams that do not receive a bid by the deadline tonight I will allow others from outside the group to bid for a day with that same $40 min bid amount. If they fail to sell we will randomize any hits we pull from those teams.

Just a heads up that this break will be scheduled for 7pm(ct) on Saturday if that works for most of you? I am needing to do all 3 groups on Saturday so for those in the other groups as well, the Hobby group will break at 3pm and the Multi-Sport at 9pm.

Winners of the silent bids will be announced tonight along with the total due so if you could get payment in prior to the break on Saturday I would appreciate it!

The Bucs and Seahawks are available to anyone out there (whether you're in the break or not) for $40 per team. Deadline is tomorrow night though so let me know soon. If no takers we will randomize any hits from those two teams.

For those that won a team please try to get payment in soon if possible.

With the revenue on these teams we covered (almost) enough for our one box of 06NT (only $20 short). If we end up selling both remaining teams I'll add in a box of 07LL but otherwise our product list is set for Saturday.

Guess I should have bid on the Seahawks. They have always been a good "pick up " team. I think last month I tripled my purchase price when I sold them. I know a guy who might want them and let him know.
Somebody needs to get them for that price.

We'll continue the product discussion in a bit but I will consider both Exquisite and NT going forward as I prefer to keep both where I can. What were the opinions on a product like UD Premier where we got many more hits but not ultra-high end?

and if Exquisite loses I can point to previous breaks.
