This is old news by now, but Mr. Emerick ( aceecards) goaded me into firing up this forum and that I intend to do with a vengeance.

A member of the Armed Forces goes through a vigorous background check before he or she is ever trained in firearms and marksmanship, yet one can purchase an AR-15 from the internet or at a Gun Show without so much as an ID card?
Believe me, the four Democrats that voted with the 2nd amendment worshippers will pay for their short-sighted lack of guts and logic. I don't even care that they may be replaced by Republicans. The fact is, our representatives, whether Senators of House members need to be awakened to the fact that this is not he "Wild, Wild West" anymore. A simple questionnaire is not too much to ask for before purchasing a weapon that could conceivably kill and maim dozens of people in a matter of minutes.
