THE BIG BREAK (2nd Quarter) !!Now with all 30 boxes being Football - All Exquisite and National Treasures!!******** Plz see change in format as now 30 boxes (all FB) and 30 slots now comprise this break. We have eliminated 12 slots in the break and the BB products. If this change causes you to request a refund I will certainly take care of that no questions asked. With this change we are full and can start breaking when we get the final payments in. *******************This is your chance to be included in TCC's Biggest Dual-Sport Quarterly Group Break! A chance to put collectors in a break that will encourage trading of slots and strategy aplenty to make sure you get the box you want...and a break that allows you to pick and choose from among 30 high end loaded boxes to select the box that you want rather than be at the mercy of the pack gods by being stuck with whatever cards you get in a box if you were to purchase it on your own! We ran the BIG BREAK in the 1st quarter and it was a big success. Here is the link to the break thread followed by the draft thread; http://www.tradingcardcentral.com/forums/i...howtopic=208235http://www.tradingcardcentral.com/forums/i...howtopic=217753This break will be a quarterly event as long as people continue to enjoy it so since we are well into the 2nd quarter it's time we start putting the next BIG BREAK together. This is a different format than the Boxbreakers groups usually use as it will not be divided by teams. Here's how it works (with props to JRThurmer for the draft idea). You participate in the break by purchasing a draft slot ranging in price based on how high your pick is. The slot prices are listed below starting at $165 all the way up to $490 for the 4th slot (the first 3 slots were determined by silent bids). Once all slots are filled and payments received we bust all 30 high end boxes (product list posted below). Once all are broken and highlights of the contents listed, you then get to pick which box you want to claim based on when it's your pick in the draft to select. The box you claim is yours including every card in it. In the last break we had multiple trades during the draft and in fact many people from outside the break made offers to participants so some people fell into a pretty nice deal picking a box they normally wouldn't have picked because another collector made the offer too good to pass up. Can you imagine having the top pick and choosing between a RC Auto Patch of Bush, Cutler, Peterson, Ryan, Forte, or any FB RC star of the last 3 years? Not to say we'll hit all those as every case can't be the best ever but what are the odds that we won't hit something spectacular in at least a few of these cases? If you go out an buy a box of Exquisite or 08NT your already paying what it would cost to get a very high pick to get a choice in which box you will get rather than being stuck with the one you buy by yourself. If you are targeting a certain product you may want to be realistic and pick a draft slot that is priced around the same as that product costs. In other words...don't expect to pick up an Exquisite box with a $200 slot. It may happen, but be realistic about the slot you choose. The average box price is $305 and the sum of funds collected will equal the cost of the boxes plus $12 per slot for paypal and shipping fees to ship the whole contents of the box. If there is any overage collected I will be including those funds with the "less desirable" boxes to help their chances of being picked higher with the rebate as part of it. To save on shipping they will be sent without the extra packaging of the larger box. In other words you'll get every card in the box but may not get the actual box packaging. All the breaks will appear on Youtube and then will be posted with scans of each boxes highlights on TCC followed by a big draft based on what slots you have purchased. I realize with the new format there may be questions so please let me know if I can clarify anything. Here are the hard details; Cost: Varies. Slot prices are posted below. QUOTE(Gottabe @ May 4 2009, 01:41 PM) Using your $680 as an example, just one question. If you have two high bids of 780 and a bid of 720 What is the winners cost? His 780 bid or something like $1-$5 over the $720. How do you determine what the high bidder pays? Good question Joe. I'll go by increments of $20 and the winners bid will be no more than $20 over the next highest bidder. So if you bid $780 and the next highest bid is $720, your winning bid will be $740. If you are only $5 or $10 over the next highest bidder your maximum bid will be your winning bid amount so if you bid $780 and the next highest is $770, your winning bid amount will be your max amount of $780.

Sounds great to me Chris. I understand your stance on this because of the backing out of spots. I can't wait. Thanks, Matt QUOTE(crpalmi @ May 5 2009, 07:42 AM) While I can't guarantee you a slot as this is not a "keeper" group, with 42 slots I'd say it's safe to assume you'll get a slot. What I will do is send an email to my regular distribution list (whether they were in the last break or not this includes others who are/were in my other breaks as well. They will get a 4 hour window of pre-warning of the slot breakdown and have first shot. I don't know when that will be but I assume Monday morning. After that period of time it will be posted here and any unclaimed slots will be up for grabs. Also due to the issues I encountered last break with the number of people that backed out at the last moment causing me to scramble to fill them and ultimately delaying the break by a week, I am instituting a new rule. Once you have claimed a slot(s), I will hold it for you for 1 week (or until the payment deadline whichever is FIRST). I'll need payment within that week or the slot will go back up for grabs. Sorry to have to do that as I know some just won't funds accessible right away but it was just too hard to backfill slots when people failed to pay at the deadline so I'm hopin a week will be sufficient.
