I pre-ordered a case of 2012 Five Star Baseball a couple months ago, and I finally got my case tonight and cracked it open. As the description of this break says, all I can say is "WOW!!!".

I've seen a bunch of this opened already online, and I will say, I was VERY pleased with my case, and I thought I would share with my fellow TCC'ers.

I will go over each box, though I will do the boxes in order of preference (saving best box for last), and I will do the cards from each box in my order of preference, as opposed to the order I may have pulled the cards, once again, saving the best for last.

Most, if not all cards will be going to my PC, but a couple may be available for trade and/or for sale if the offer is right. It never hurts to ask if you are interested.

So sit back, relax, and enjoy, as I share the results my break of a 3-box case of 2012 Five Star Baseball with all of you.

-Joe

Well, that is going to be one tough box to beat. But I think I may have done it. Some will disagree, but all will understand why I put this #1.

Here we go.....final box of the case (and actually the 2nd box I opened).

Base Card: ROBINSON CANO Rainbow Parallel 8/10

I better have some nice autos in here, or I am going to look like a fool.

Better get off to a strong start.

RYAN BRAUN Auto 41/150

The next auto is a player who doesn't get enough respect. 7-time All-Star, 5-time Gold Glove, 4-time Silver Slugger, 2-time NL MVP, 398 HRs, and he did it before the steroids era, yet he gets no HOF love.

DALE MURPHY Auto 135/208

Auto 3 is another solid one....

JOSH HAMILTON Jersey Auto 46/55

By now, everyone thinks I am insane. No way is this the best box of the 3. Its been good and solid, but not overly impressive.

I'm not going to lie.....I probably agree with you up to this point.

However, lets see if I can finish big.

Some of you may disagree, but remember, I am NOT an impartial jury. This was what I wanted when I bought the case.

We've had Maury, Clayton, Fergie, Bryce, and Hammerin Hank, to name just a few...

Final hit of the case....

And that's it!!! I know some would take box #2 over #3, but Koufax is my Meca....it doesn't get any better.

Thanks for checking out my break....I hope you enjoyed. I sure did!!!! biggrin.gif
