Never once had that happen. Had a few people who just didn't pay - but you can block people from bidding on future auctions. I ship overseas a LOT on Yahoo when dealing with stamps and ephemera.

QUOTE(EB31 @ May 1 2006, 06:25 AM)
The one constant I find with Yahoo...their security is horribly lacking. They have more scams and frauds than Ebay and any other site combined.

I used to use Yahoo auctions quite frequently, until I noticed how many scam artists were attempting to buy with fraudulent funds. And I am talking about big money scams from Nigeria, the UK and similar places.

For me Ebay has shot me in the pooper cause all of the people wanting products lowere than the wholesal prices i can get them so currently im not liking ebay on bit, since there fees are outrageous. I am going to verify my paypal acount for sportsfanauctions.com and give a shot there. So i am hoping for a decent return rate there instead of losing money on ebay.

I collect: GU, AUTO and HiGH END INSERTS.

I need an awsome pic on the bottom of this.... any one wanna help me, PM me.

More details here in the Near future.....

Ok, here's what I've done...

Since we had 3 different topics by 3 different members looking to get referral credits by having members click on their link for this site, I have simply merged all 3 topics into a single topic and moved that topic into the Seal of Approval forum.

By merging the topics, all 3 members still have their links available. Those links will show up within this new topic in the order in which they were posted on TCC. So, the first person that came here may have the best chance of getting the referrals and so on.

In addition, it keeps the whole discussion together in one topic. wink.gif

I'll also repeat my questions for those members that are making referrals to this new site...

Have you bid on anything at the site? Have you bought anything there? Have you sold anything there?

Why do you like the site? What are some specific things about it that you think are good?

-Bob

I gave it a go, signed up today and listed a card for sale...we'll see how it goes. Figured I couldn't pass judgement without having tried it out first.

And no, I didn't use anyone as a referral.

Thanks,
Jason

EDIT: 1 suggestion for that site....allow members to stay logged in more than just a few minutes.....maybe permanently.

It's extremely annoying to have to log back in every few mins.

www.sportsfanauctions.com has just undergone a major site upgrade with many new features added with more functionality. Still a great place to buy and sell.

There is a new contest being run for a month with the top prizes being:

First Place Winner will receive a 2006 Topps Co-Signers Baseball Hobby Box.

Second Place Winner will receive a 2006 Topps Draft Picks And Prospects Football Hobby Box.

Third Place Winner will receive a 2000 Upper Deck Pros & Prospects Baseball Hobby Box.

While still a small community, it beats paying feeBay exhorbant fees. Ive made a few sales and have made some purchases.
