Wow this is the best thing the mods can do. Trying to control people on how to bump. You can't use this or you can't use that what can you use. Now i really see why alot of people hate tcc.

Would you have been able to express yourself using shortened phrases like "ttt" and "idk" instead of what you just posted?

I am not trying to criticism any mods or what not. But there seems to be more rules about bumping then anything else on this site. My Point is whats the difference between lets trade, etc. to bump or ttt. They serve the same purpose to bump your thread up. May i ask why tcc from what it seems hates bumping
*

I'm not trying to criticism bumping or even criticize it for that matter. I understand it has its place in forums like this, but like everything should be productive and informative. I just get irritated looking through the Marketplace Forums and seeing a topic continually bumped to the top six times a day and the only person that has posted anything in the thread is the author! I think adding something like: "I still have these cards available" or "These auctions are ending tonight" or "I've updated my list, still have several available" is actually beneficial to anyone that might read it. Gibberish and ttt is just garbage. If you are that lazy then chances are you don't put very much effort into handling your transactions correctly. One thing everyone seems to forget is the fact that everything you post here along with your attitude is all that your fellow TCC members know about you since we often don't ever have the opportunity to meet face to face. Have some pride in the image you create of yourself in the online world and people will be much more likely to interact with you in a way that benefits both parties and that definitely includes trading.

TCC is more laid back than the majority of trading forums out there. Additionally, anyone who "Hates" TCC is welcome to leave at any time. TCC does not beg anyone to join or stay.

My reply to your quote is nothing personal.

True. If you want to see "harsh" rules on bumping go to somewhere like SCF where it can get you suspended.

Which SCF is that? I'm guessing "Sports Card Forum" not "Sports Card Freaks".

Oh my take on the "bumping" thing is:

Just as others have said just saying "bump" or "ttt" or putting a single punctuation mark of some kind is boring and annoying. It is really annoying when done one or more times within 3 hours. I see it on other boards (not just the trading card boards) all the time. One thing that I think people tend to forget is not everybody is going to be visiting the board at the same time you are. It might take up to 24 hours for anybody to see your thread and be interested enough in opening it. In the case of potential trade threads hopefully they see the thread read it, and then look over their collection to see what they can offer before they respond.

premature bumping is like those jerks behind you that honk the second the traffic light has just turned Green.

Oh and rather than add a second post right behind this one, I decided to edit this one to add the other thoughts I had just after I originally replied.

I will bump after a few days/week. I don't see any problem with it if it's not after like anhour or something. I just made a big trade after I had bumped my post 3 times in a 2 week span.

I've had my bump deleted in two of my threads. I'm all for deleting bumps that are excessive, but I bump after a day at most. I just recently bumped one after it had been three days and it got deleted IMO, that is a bit too extreme, especially when people used to bump threads every three hours or so

I CAUGHT THE PHOTOBUCKET VIRUS!!!
It cost me $250 in repairs and due to that, I will no longer be using, or looking at buckets. If you use a different site, I will look there. Other wise, please provide a list. Thanks :)
