QUOTE(Eliptic @ Apr 21 2010, 11:41 AM)
Pluto came out and said that the front office feels that Gocong is more of an ILB than OLB which makes me scratch my head a little. The kid was a BEAST at Cal-Poly as a DE and had (not has, he's been standing up awhile) AMAZING pass rush moves.

Gocong
Fujita
Maiava
Roth

is what I think our opening day starting LBers will be.

Jackson is great at making a ton of tackles 5 yards from the line of scrimmage, but isnt really a playmaker. I think he would be great as a 4-3 WIL LB and will get moved during the draft, possibly to get back into the first to take McCoy.

Rogers will be gone as well IMO, probably to get back into the 2nd.
*

I like D'Qwell he has been a 3-4 ILB since his freshmen year of college so he knows the position. he is not a downhill type of player and i think that he would be fine in the middle just need to find someone to play the other middle spot to play behind the line

Why would you not want Jimmy Clausen, easily the best QB in this draft class?

laugh.gif laugh.gif Listening to Todd McShay are we?

Clausen has all the tools, and is the most NFL-Ready QB in the draft by FAR. He is mature, and his lack of intangibles are pretty much a hoax thanks to Todd McShay. How he has a job at ESPN is beyond me.

Jimmy Clausen is 10 million times the prospect that Colt McCoy will ever be, and it absolutely baffles me as to why Cleveland fans want McCoy more.

I dont watch ESPN i am an NFLN kind of guy. I just dont think Clausen is worth a top 10 pick he has bad decision making and bad accuracy on teh dep ball.

I dont think the Browns need a QB right now i think they need to let one learn for a year or two. McCoy would fit perfectly in our Offense

If you are being completely honest when you say that "he has bad decision making", then you clearly have never watched him play.

The reason me, and most of the other Browns fans Ive talked to, like McCoy more is because of his short and intermediate accuracy, and his super fast release.

Clausen isnt a bad prospect, he's probably 10-15 on my big board. His immaturity is grossly exagerated. My problem with him is his slower, over the top release. I wouldnt be mad if the Browns took him, but I think we can get a more impact player in the 1st.

Ventrone is a good ST guy, average to below average as a safety. Decent in run support and not very good in coverage.

Thanks.
A good friend of mine is his exclusive dealer. He has a ton of stuff signed and hopes to get some game used stuff soon as well. Was thinking of getting a few items signed by him. Seems like a cool guy.

THANK YOU!! I was wondering if I was the only one who thought that. It's not that I hate Colt McCoy, it's just that Jimmy Clausen is so much better and I was blown away when degibson84 said that he had bad decision making, which is a perfect way to describe McCoy.

Colt McCoy has short immediate accuracy because he can't throw the ball very well farther than 4 yards, which is why he'd be a great fit for Denver's offense with Josh McDaniels. laugh.gif

Haden...really?? There have been quite a few trade downs... your telling me we couldn't have traded down about 5 spots and still got Haden? Sure e still need DB help but that was a bit of a reach. Hope we have a strong 2nd and 3rd round!

Word out of Cleveland is that all of the offers we were getting were horrible. Heckert stayed where he was at and picked up a great player. Brown is going to be a great mentor to Haden and Wright. Its bringing back memories of Dixon and Minni for me biggrin.gif

4 picks tom. and Im excited!

I guess my brother was right about Clausen. He fell all the way to 48. Living in NE Ohio i follow the Browns but am not a big fan. I am not sure i like the Haden pick as they now have 5 decent to good CBs. Will one of them move to Saftey? I know McDonald was a Saftey in college at Memphis and Brown is older and losing some speed so maybe he could move to FS
