Mike, I hate to say it but trading is a dying art. Trading wasn't tough enough on it's own, but now with postage it just makes it twice as hard. That is one of the reasons I have downsized my collecting. I was at a show recently and saw a guy selling gu/au at $1 each and not junk, all new cards from new and higher end products (no hockey though), his $3 and $5 gu/auto bins were loaded with guys like Jeter and HOFers, stuff that you would hope that people would sell for a portion of bv. The dollar bin was loaded as well. I didn't buy (because no hockey, did get a few good racing cards), but that is the state of the hobby, it is cheaper to buy now then spend postage trading. Not really worth busting a box, when you know someone at a show is selling gu/aus that cheap.

QUOTE(chopinalex @ Dec 2 2014, 09:55 PM) I have made a few trades on sportscardforum..umm sorry to admit but..but mainly I just buy from 1. COMC 2. ebay 3. sportlots. Its cheaper just to buy what you want instead of gambling and wasting 60-100 on a box and getting 1 or 2 cards you want and the rest you dont..so basically i'm trying to trade the last of the 'other' cards from box breaks from previous years and now I just buy what I want to my sets. I just purchased 70 dollars on 73 refractors..yes refractors on COMC and the shipping was free for black friday weekend..how many boxes would it take for me to get those in boxes or trades? It would take forever.. I just shipped over 30 cards for free from COMC due to the Black Friday promotion, not too shabby! Trading is getting harder and harder but I still enjoy it and don't mind spending $2 to ship in a bubble mailer as long as the trade isn't for a base card.
