On 3/15/07, an agreement was finalized in which Trading Card Central acquired Sports Card Sheriff. For more details about this acquistion, please click here.

We fully understand that this will lead to a number of questions from our members, SCS members and collectors in general. So, here's an official topic in which we'll respond to all questions about this change.

Initially, SportsCardSheriff.com will be restored as a "separate" site. Moving forward, a well-defined and clearly communicated process will take place in which SportsCardSheriff.com becomes an integrated part of TradingCardCentral.com. We are not looking to operate a network of trading card sites. Instead, we are working towards unifying collectors and providing them with a centralized resource to support their hobby.

How much did it cost?

Those details will not be disclosed.

TCC is not for trade or sale.

Will posts and trades from both sites be combined for one total once the unification process of SCS and TCC is complete?

The totals may not be joined as a single number. However, it will be easy to view a member's entire SCS transaction history.

That would be difficult, as regards to post, because Bob should import all the posts from SCS to TCC, generating a mess of data...

I gotta question. If TCC banned members are on SCS, what's gonna happen to them?

Any member that is banned on TCC will also be banned on SCS. The opposite statement is not true.

Also, are you gonna have like a SCS Team?

The TCC Team will be responsible for the operation of all Trading Card Central resources - including SCS.

Eventually, if you go to sportscardsheriff.com, will it re-route you to TCC?

At the moment, all visitors to SportsCardSheriff.com are immediately forwarded to TradingCardCentral.com. This behavior will change once SCS is restored and will then further change as we work to unify the two communities.

Just curious, when SCS is restored, will the feedback be fixed as well???? Cause I had 9 Feedback showing before it went down and I had like almost 40 total deals on there. I knew this a long time ago about Crit and stealing peoples money.

Once the site is restored, we'll certainly do whatever is necessary to restore the feedback system and/or implement other tools to provide full access to a member's transaction history.

I will be better able to answer that question once I receive all of the software and data this week. We are talking about less than 2 weeks though.

Restoration of SCS is being done to help collectors - plain and simple. Hundreds of collectors went to visit a key hobby resource in the middle of December and found it to be missing - without any warning. That simply should not have happened. Therefore, we will restore SCS as a first step so that collectors can once again access information from that site - especially things that they personally find very important.

At the same time, we'll begin the process of unifying the 2 sites under the TradingCardCentral.com domain.
