I had three items come in the mail yesterday. One from ePack, one from a trade, and one from a couple of group breaks. Figured I'd make one big show and tell out of it, as some of this stuff I'm really jacked up about.
This one came Thursday from Paul. Thank you so much!
Starting with the trade, I landed some set needs for Champs including the last two fish that I needed, a famous foods Pierogis, and three game used: Scheifele, Spezza and Goldobin.
From ePack, I got some set needs as far as YGs, and some cards I got for my extra Auston Matthews young guns (those will be pictured later).
Young Guns: Zaitsev, Casey Nelson, Anthony DeAngelo, Gemel Smith, Brandon Montour, Thomas Chabot, Scott Wedgewood, Zane McIntyre (available)
Silver/Gold foil (the golds look really sharp in person): Max Domi silver and gold, Zetterberg Gold
Misc: Connor McDavid Don't Feed the Goalie Achievements, Ekblad Canvas, Werenski OPC rookie
On to the good stuff...
From a group break of Ice I got Columbus in a master case. Kind of disappointing this time around, as nothing Werenski, but these are still good looking cards:
Feeling bummed about those results, I grabbed an $8 Tampa spot in a half case of Contours. I saw they had one of the rookie jersey/AU on the checklist. Luck was with me this time!
I was already happy, those rookie cards look awesome! But then this appeared...
One of the nicer patch cards that I have. It's off the shoulder patch. Pretty happy for such a cheap spot!
And now comes the stuff I'm most excited about. I offered up my Matthews YG for trade on ePack, and a user messaged me about a card I might be interested in. In the end, after some discussion and back and forth, I moved the Matthews for these four cards:
Casually mentioned to the guy that I'd love to have this card, and he agreed to include it in the trade. Now THIS is the best patch card that I own. From the CBJ shoulder, and a good Michigan born player!
And saved this one for last. It was hard to trade the Mathews which is worth so much for several lower valued cards, but this one I couldn't pass on...
That one, plus the awesome deal I made with Paul, brings the Larkin PC up to 80 individual cards, including 13 true rookies. Larkins value is down given the sophomore season he had, but he just had a great World Championship. I'm going to try to snatch up as much as I can over the summer.
Thanks for looking!
