This "contest" was inspired by previous "Chains" most notably the contest "http://www.tradingcardcentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=293925" by Marc (msw_sportscards).

THE CONCEPT: For details on how this thing works see previous Chain threads. Here is the thread for "Last" month's package: (http://www.tradingcardcentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=315731). December was skipped due to all the Holiday Shipping Madness that happens in December.

The only real rule is if you take something out it must be replaced with something approximately equal in value, quality, cardness.

There is no specific time limit for how long you keep the chain stack, but try to keep things moving so it doesn't get stalled for too long or completely stopped (that has happened on one occasion).

Delivery Tracking is not required but it is requested so that the group can track where the package currently is, or if a problem occurs.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Leave a comment in this thread showing your interest in participating. THEN send a PM to me (captkirk42) with your contact information and mailing address (TCC handle, full real name, mailing address, email contact). If you don't PM me with your address and contact info you will not be added to this package round.

Members from the last package are encouraged to participate again (I still have those addresses I just need confirmation for new round).

Participating members must have no restrictions or member limitations (Must send first, current transactions only etc...), and should be a fairly consistent regular poster with a current posting history here on TCC.

Lets try to get at least 10 members participating.

Sign-Up Deadline: Sign up for this package chain is NOW OPEN and will run until Tuesday 31 December 2013.

Package Sending Order: When the sign-up deadline has passed I will randomize the list of participants (minus myself the chain originator and "terminator") the standard three times via random.org. I will post the order and then ship out the package to the first person on the list. At that time I will also PM each member with the name and mailing address of the member they will be shipping to.

Hey guys. Any of you Braves/Andruw Jones fans?

I got a memorabilia donation from Gary (Gforce) from one of the early Chain packages (the original one that Mark had started that got derailed due to tons of memorabilia and full sets added to the package. Gary had gotten stuck with tons of the memorabilia). It is a signed 1996 World Series Baseball autographed by Andruw Jones then of the Braves (the losing team of that series vs da Yanks)

I want to keep the shipping cost low for the chain package so only cards are included in it.

Let me know if you want the ball and I'll send it directly to you. Or if you know of a Braves/Andruw Jones collector who might want it tell me how to contact them.

Correction PMs have been sent. Everyone should have gotten one showing the person you will be receiving the package from and the name and address of who you will be sending to.

Please compare the shipping order in the first post to the name(s) I gave you in the PM they should match up. I'm pretty sure I sent the right names/addresses, but I'm not perfect. So if I messed up let me know.

Right now in a holding pattern due to too many major car problems. Haven't been able to get to the post office. I live 5 miles from it. Need to see if the UPS store near me in walking distance has hours I can get to.

[update] Hmm looks like my UPS store has Saturday Hours I can work with. I'll try getting things started this weekend.

Package is on it's way

I managed to get to my local UPS store (which is within walking distance of my apartment, unlike my post office which is 4-5 Miles away). I made a slight goof and it is being sent via UPS not USPS. I told the guy I wanted it shipped the least expensive way w/tracking (which USPS First Class does) but of course being the UPS store since I didn't specify sending "USPS First Class" it is going via the more expensive UPS.

OK so the UPS tracking number is:

Estimated arrival is Tuesday 04 Feb 2014.

I had thought about adding a fun feature but will do that next time and explain what that will be then. I didn't think of it early enough to take the time to set it up. Oh scans of the cards in the package will be posted in a few.

Yes sort of. The chain will go around again, but not in the same order. Each round I change up the order, accept new members, sadly say goodbye to those who can't stay.

The Chain has made another stop! I cleaned things up a bit, removing the remaining base cards. I nabbed the Denard GU and Jacoby Ford auto, and I put in a Jason Richardson GU, and an auto and GU that might interest our next Chain participant.

Received package. The Chain has come full circle. The Cards I'm keeping for my PC are: Topps Chrome Chris Webber, UD Collector's Choice Sergei Fedorov and the Topps Roundball Remnants Caron Butler GU. Wow what a design cool use of the material and "ball" cutout. OH and I'm also keeping that rare 1/1 Chipster Auto.

Those chipster autos are very rare! As a matter of fact thats the first one iv gave out. I use those to get signed by all the wrestlers i meet as i go to at least 1 independent show a month.
