OK so here is where I will put some of my Fave cards from my vast never ending collection. First off in my TCC BLOG I usually mention the latest cards I have gotten from Group Breaks, Ebay, Trades etc. I also try to mention those cards in the Mail Day board. I have some of my cards in My TCC Gallery but not very many and I don't think there is much traffic there. I think SHOW & TELL is the highest traffic area to show off part of my Collection.
I'm a life-long fan of both the WASHINGTON REDSKINS and the LOS ANGELES/ST. LOUIS RAMS. Why the REDSKINS? Easy I was born and raised in the WASHINGTON DC area, they are my Homie Team. Why The RAMS? Well it maybe because I was born under the astrological sign of the ram. Anyway that is my story and I'm sticking with it. So Thus is why I am a RAMSKINS Fan.
I've been collecting cards for most of my life, During my 20s-30s it was mostly off and on, so I have some gaps during the 80s-90s overproduced years. I think that was what turned me away from the hobby for a little while. Over the years my trading tastes have changed, I used to do the typical try to get the whole set, but with full sets being 100s of cards, plus a 100 or so inserts, you need to have access to more money than I have. My Signature has my want lists (I'm not sure how current they are, I need to update them I think) and main areas of interest.
My main interests (in case you want to trade, sell or give me something) are:
Current and Vintage (especially 60s & 70s), heck almost all years.
NFL: Rams (L.A. & St. Louis), Redskins, HOFers (Mostly 1970s and back)
MLB: Nationals (Thus Expos, heck I was into them in the early 70s because of the Red/White/Blue Logo), Senators, Orioles, some Mets and Rockies, - Vintage Teams: Senators, Pilots, 45's
NHL: Capitals mostly with some HOFers.
NBA: Not much into it but Bullets/Wizards is about it. If I can score some good MJ in Wizards or vintage Bullets Unis then great.
I DON'T collect Letterman cards, and I'm going to phase out my GU eventually, it's mostly the concept of the things. That doesn't mean I won't admire the things. I collect Rookie cars, but I try to stay away from Sage and the College Only Products. I have some college cards, some of which I will keep of players I like, but I'm not going out of my way for them.
Anyway one of my absolute fave cards I've had since way back when. I think it must have originally belonged to one of my Brothers when we were kids. It is one of my faves because it is my Birth year 1965:
Let me be the first to say.... and thanks for sharing, keep 'em coming...
Ah Inserts. Some of my fave inserts are the Vintage inserts from the 1960s - 1970s. The Topps coins, the mini posters, the 4in1 mini booklets, the card games.
1968 TOPPS BASEBALL GAME INSERTS
In 1968 Topps put out a card game as inserts to the regular set. Each card has a star player, many of whom are now Hall Of Famers on the front with the result of an at bat.
Wow these are incredible. That Joe Namath card is pretty cool.
Thanks Guys,
Road Runner,
I will certainly try to keep them coming. That was partly why I started this thread, that and to get some more exposure for my PC. I'll keep a lookout for #d 264s, but I really haven't been thinking about that lately.
IronMonkey
Thanks. I'm trying to concentrate on finishing out these sets, the mini-posters maybe difficult. The Namath Card I think I got from Ebay. I missed out on a Roman Gabriel card just a few days ago, I was watching it and let it go because my Paypal was getting low, even though the opening bid was only $0.99 D'OH!
WoW...those mini posters are pretty unique...very nice stuff...
Not thinking 'bout my 264s???? Whats wrong with you....
Don't worry, I have been thinking for the both of us...
Time for some fun.
MASCOT CARDS
I'm still looking for some of these guys, LMK what you got. Once someone told me they had the set from 2007 Topps but I didn't have anything they needed to trade, so like many other sets, I might have to buy them.
2007 TOPPS BASEBALL:
Cool stuff. We dont see enough vintage stuff around here. Keep them coming.
Nice stuff, do you collect more recent things as well as vintage or no?
Here is the rest of the 1968 TOPPS BASEBALL GAME INSTERT CARDS that I have scanned from my PC. I have a few more from the set but haven't scanned them in. UGH! I really really need to organize all my junk, my move from last August has really messed up my already disorganized collection.
Nice collection, I love the eclectic stuff.
I actually remember pulling a couple of the Roman Gabriel
posters. Lord, I'm gettin' old (I guess it beats the alternative).
I wish you continued success on the collection.
Collect Hard!,
RGBII
Thanks Richard,
I remember as a kid we had a ton of the 1971 Coin inserts.
Some of my collection of:
FRANK HOWARD
LOS ANGELES DODGERS (1958 - 1964)
Very nice stuff, let's see some of them Rams!
Nice way to start! I have Henry Ellard like the Youngblood but Its a Chrome Refractor.
Some CUBIES!
I already posted my favorite Chicago Cubs card at the start of this thang, The 1965 TOPPS - ERNIE BANKS
DON SUTTON
- The Voice of Experience, and the WASHINGTON NATIONALS.
Don is one of the color commentators for Washington Nationals games on the cable TV station MASN (Mid-Atlantic Sports Network.). MASN also covers The BALTIMORE ORIOLES & RAVENS.
One of my fave all-time REDSKINS quarterbacks is good old NUMBER 9
SONNY JURGENSEN
Sonny started his NFL career on the EAGLES and was traded to the REDSKINS for Norm Snead and Claude Crabb in 1964.
When I was a kid I had a very nice #9 Jersey. It was comfortable and I wore it a lot, over the years I had to save it from going into the goodwill pile or the pile of old shirts to be used for rags. Sometime during the '80s (late 80s I think) I lost track of it. Perhaps my mother finally gave it away then. Well at least I have memories of it, and a picture or two with me in it.
Now for the other end of my fave all-time quarterbacks:
ROMAN GABRIEL - #18 RAMS
(then later EAGLES)
Here is an interesting bit of Trivia for Mr. GABRIEL. He appeared in an episode of Gilligan's Island as a Headhunter (Episode 10 of Season 3 Topsy-Turvy 1966 - Thank you imdb.com for specifics). I don't think he had any lines, unless they were ughs and grunts.
HOKEY Smokes it's been ages since I've added stuff here. Part of that was for the longest time after my move (a year ago at the beginning of Aug) I cluttered up the table I have my laptop on so much I didn't have room for my scanner. I kept procrastinating. I finally hooked it back-up a week or so ago.
I don't know where to begin...
At first I was trying to keep this thread organized. Hmmm I'm not sure how much more I can keep it that way.
Well my signature has one of my more recent fave cards the dual auto of Frank Howard and Nick Johnson Here it is for when I end up changing my sig pic again:
2005 Upper Deck Dual Signature Reflections - Frank Howard/Nick Johnson
That reminds me I need to scan my Frank Howard 1960 Topps RC and add it to my Frank Howard section here (on page 1 or just link back to that part of the tread). And in football I think there are some more Sonny Jurgensen and Roman Gabriel cards I can add. Ah a collectors work is never done.
Just today (well yesterday 01Oct2009) I got this vintage beauty:
1963 JELL-O Ernie Banks 169
Switching quickly to Football for a second. I pulled this in my Target 2009 Donruss Classics Blaster
2009 Donruss Classics Franco Harris Classic Singles
R-A-M-S! RAMS! RAMS! RAMS!
A PM has been sent. Nice vintage collection!
Friday 02Oct2009 Mailday:
Got a couple of my sportlots.com auctions to help with my 1963 building.
1963 TOPPS BASEBALL
94 Bob Schmidt
(Hmm looks a little bit like Brian Schneider or does Brian look like him?)
95 Larry Jackson
I've got a long way to go with my 1960s sets buildings so if you have any '63s or other years to send my way let me know.
great thread ... kept the updates coming
Great thread.
FRANK HOWARD
OK since there is a limit to the number of pics you can put in a single post I have to put these HONDO as a DODGER cards here.
Today got some:
1974 Toppps Football
from sportlots.com an auction of 25 for $0.25 plus $2.50 postage. My http://www.tradingcardcentral.com/forums/index.php?automodule=blog&blogid=240&cmd=showentry&eid=1209 gives the full list most were common players. I will just show the few I scanned.
Very interesting collection!! Love the Crazylegs cut (I am a Badger). One of my favorite PC cards is a Jurgensen 06 NT with some really unique pieces of shoe.
A fun set that I had started back in the day as a Kid. I only had two for many years, then in the last couple started looking for the rest on Ebay. Well that goal was accomplished a few months back. I just hadn't scanned any of them till this weekend. anyway the set in question.
Awesome vintage set, Kirk. Congrats.
A few posts ago I mentioned I had another Leaf Limited Cuts Signature... well lookie here it is this one:
Soon it will be Halloween, scary eh kids? With that note let us flip back 15 years with Coca-Cola and The NFL...
Coca-Cola, and the NFL Player's Association using Pro-Line Classics cards. Produced this unique set of 30 cards:
this thread is awesome! Nice Colts cards!
Justin
I've gotten in a few Ebay Auctions recently.
First from a brand new series of BASEBALL cards, with multiple sports in it because it is a retro tobacco era series. I got my first 2009 Upper Deck GOODWIN CHAMPIONS card. It's not a baseball one its a Hockey.
sweet stuff man keep them coming
It's been a little while. I've been slow in scanning some stuff, slow in organizing. wait in some areas I haven't been organizing. Sigh. I also recently started a card blog at http://captkirk42.blogspot.com
OK here are some stickers that I got recently from Ebay. Before America got attacked in 2001 there was an attempt to have a rival football league to the NFL by the owners of the WWF Wrestling League. It failed Miserably, but was immortalized in the opening scenes of the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie The 6th Day (with one "expansion team" that never was) they had some cool helmet-cam footage though. Anway Oh it was the XFL I was talking about.
So WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?
Earlier in the week I got a Hockey card from Ebay which was the O-Pee-Chee version of a Topps card I have. Collectors that specialize in Hockey know very well that the Canadian printed O-Pee-Chee cards have always paralleled the Topps cards from that year. Now a days it is easy to tell the difference because of the branding on the front, but for many years the only way to tell was information on the back. If there was French writing anywhere on the back it was the OPC version. Sometimes only the copyright line let you know if your card was from Topps or from OPC. Now if your card was off center like my Topps card is on the back (without the copyright line) then you would have ether have other cards from that same set, or do some research to find out the differences. Usually there is a card stock difference as well.
Any way....
Now I got a headache! At least you can see the fine print...I need a magnifying glass to read all the stuff on modern day cards
And Now for Some Vintage Non-Sport From 1953 Topps.
ROMAN GABRIEL AP Wire photos from the 1960s
From Ebay I got 2 photos of Roman Gabriel by AP Wire services. I got them for $14.00 Delivered.
GLADIATORS AUSTRALIAN STYLE
From Ebay I got 4 promo cards from the Australian "Gladiators" TV show. I'm not sure of the number of cards in the set but it's the Australian version of the show which those of us in the USA would know as "American Gladiators"
I give a brief explanation on my Cards Blog http://captkirk42.blogspot.com/2010/03/american-gladiators-umm-australian.html Post. The most attractive one is this first one:
Those are cool...I have 2 Decks of 1963 Stancraft Playing Cards <<< Had to get back my childhood memory after "our" cat pooped in the shoe box fulled with them!
Cool Topps Super cards! I especially like the Deacon Jones card. He was such an awesome player and an entertaining guy in interviews.
Very cool looking cards! The design of the cards look even older than the 70's. Awesome!
I've started getting maildays again lately, they can be found in the Mail Day section. A few of the highlights include:
Awesome stuff Kirk. I love, love, love the vintage cards. Keep up the great work.
Mike
Great looking Merlin Olsen card! I always liked the "Fearsome Foursome" nickname for the defensive line he was a part of.
1967 Stancraft NFL Playing Cards Teams
Latest addition to the collection and the pursuit of all 16 teams.
Got a boxed version of:
Some 1954 Bowman:
A 2007 Donruss Gridiron Gear Performers Sonny Jurgensen Gold serial numbered with Riggos Number 244/500
Wow! Those 1954 Bowman cards are amazing looking!
WOW, I cant believe I have never seen this topic before!
I went through and looked at every post and read all the stuff about them. Very sweet collection, many different places you have went with it. Some cool items. The mascot card were pretty funny, I remember when they used to do those and the were kinda cool to pull.
But great collection and I hope to see more cool stuff.
Thanks guys!
sweet cards
ORIGINAL "OLDEST CARD" IN MY COLLECTION.
I give a bit more detail on this card in my Blogspot Trading Card Blog so I'll be a little brief here. This 1960 Topps Football 123 Ralph Guglielmi card holds the distinct honor of having been the oldest card in my collection. For many years this card was the oldest. For sometime now I have had some Football and Baseball cards from the 1950s and some non-sport tobacco cards. One from the 1930s of a "Girl of the World" and some reprints of some 19th century or early 20th century military type tobacco cards (that might be 1920s reprints) I have to double check on those I thought I blogged about them here at TCC but I searched my entire TCCBlog and didn't see mention. UGH.
Anyway here is the "Poor Old Football Card" that served the longest as my Oldest card. As you can see there is a nasty tear/crease in the bottom half that is taped to keep the card together.
Today (Black Friday 26NOV2010) RamSkins Mail. First from The Bay and then from Sportlots (1-2-3 Auction)
Cool stuff thanks for sharing! And the first one might grade gem mint! The tape will for sure get a 10. I'm just messing with you, I have some cards that are pretty ruff, non with tape but some that kinda need it!
I really like that Ralph Guglielmie card! Call me crazy, but I think it adds something to the look of vintage cards when they're all beat up like that.
Sooo many cool cards man! Great collection
I've got a pretty cool latest entry on my card blog http://captkirk42.blogspot.com/2011/01/mystery-of-cut-signature-solved.html
Long story short I figured something out about this card:
Not cards but memorabilia. I made a ustream video of my Nationals/Senators Caps collection.
My Nats Hats <- was a link to Ustream.
NOTE Updated 11Jul2017: A few years back U-Stream did some policy changes and any videos older than 30 days automatically get deleted. I never got a chance to save the videos I had there so I had several videos deleted including this one. I might have had maybe a dozen videos saved there? I have since forgotten how many of my now dozen or almost dozen "Nats Hats" were featured, or how I even showed them.It isn't great but at least it shows the general idea of each hat. I might try to do a screen capture on them sometime or figure out some way to snap better pictures, not sure if my cell phone will be any better or not. I've got a digital camera if it still works and if I remember which cord is the right one to use for it, it's been ages since I've used it.
(Ustream turns me into rainman, definitely rainman)
In case you missed my post in the "steals" section. I got two sweet Willie Mays Post Cereal cards the 1961 and 1962.
http://www.tradingcardcentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=311408&view=findpost&p=2732887
Made a short video showing off my Christmas HaulXmas 2012 Haul video short <- UStream deleted the video as it was older than 30 days old when they made some site changes a few years ago (Updated and Noted 11Jul2017)
I got a few more things than I showed but only a few and they were not interesting to folks here, who likes reading about the jams and jellies I got from my Bro and his wife in NC (the bro and wife I mention in the video is my other bro). Its basically stuff my SinLaw picks out and sends while my bro may or maynot even know what was sent. LOL.
Then today I got some vintage stuff (and some of it looks it) from Ebay for $7.99 + $4.15 shipping
It was mostly for the Senators pictures (4.25x7) that look like they came from a magazine? yearbook maybe? Very yellowed and all have pushpin or staple holes. they are from 1970 (since there is Aurelio Rodriguez and it looks like he was only a Senator in 1970):
Dick Bosman
Ed Brinkman
Paul Casanova
Joe Coleman
Mike Epstein
Frank Howard (main reason I picked up this lot)
Aurelio Rodriguez
Ed Stroud
1970 Topps Scratch Off Inserts none of them have the back scorecard written on but one of them has a square on the inside scratched off. These even have some pin holes someone must have had a bulletin cork board.
Luis Aparicio White Sox
Sam McDowell Indians
Claude Osteen Dodgers
Willie Stargell Pirates (on inside second square top row scratched off to reveal "Double Play")
Then two 1970 Topps Story Booklets
8 Tony Oliva Twins
18 Rusty Staub Expos - Only the "cover" page missing the inside page (pages 3-6) I might have to use it as some kind of decoration or find a huge Rusty Staub collector who doesn't really care its incomplete.
Nice stuff Kirk!

Got some cards from a group break over at TCZ (a sort of younger cousin of TCC cause there are loads of TCC folk there). I'll only show two of the cards from the break I got about 14 more I had Rams/Ravens plus draft teams of Bears/Vikings. Pruducts were:
2012 Panini Absolute
2011 Donruss Elite
2010 Panini Plates & Patches
I got at least 2 cards from each product, most of it was Elite base.
Here are my two fave cards. I'll let the cards do the talking both are from the 2010 Panini Plates & Patches.
89 Danny Amendola Rams Base #d 016/499
And the Sweet one:
Mardy Gilyard Rams Auto (blue sharpie on cut card) 3 color GU (Gold, White w/stitching, Blue) #d 470/699
dang the rams just didn't produce..lol
It has been a long time since I've shown stuff here in this thread. Forgive me if I repeat something from an earlier post in this thread. It is hard to keep track of what I have shown when and where. Now-days I do most of my showing off on my blogs (links to both are in my sig) so I tend to forget to mention things in other places. I do keep track of my maildays on my blog here and mirror it on TCZ in my mailday thread there.
OK so years and years ago I first showed the basic version of this auto card in this tread on page 2 http://www.tradingcardcentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=202406&view=findpost&p=2240883 I have since gotten at least one of the 2 serial numbered parallels that were made:
When I checked my blog for that card I forgot I had only posted it to my http://curlywcards.blogspot.com and not my http://captkirk42.blogspot.com. You see since my CWC blog is just DC Baseball I don't post them to my regular catch-all blog. I usually just make a notation and sometimes later add a link but lately I have been slacking in posting the links.
Think I'll show off some more stuff from my photobucket. It's kind of fun doing it this way. My only problem is I will have to make sure I still have PB card scans saved somewhere other than PB in case I move any around. It is sad when a link gets broken up and you don't have a back up of the info anywhere. Another downside is most of these I never scanned the back. I was sacred of running out of memory at the PB site and also at first I didn't even think about showing backs. Now days on my blogs I like to show the backs.
OK how about some more:
I've shown this next one on my http://captkirk42.blogspot.com but it doesn't look like I've shown it here anywhere that I can recal (unless I mentioned it in the steals board). If you want to read the full story on this http://captkirk42.blogspot.com/2012/04/1969-basketball-ruler.html
1969-70 Topps Basketball Ruler 22 Wes Unseld Baltimore Bullets
I remember those.. think I had two or three probably got sun bleached and pinholes from hanging on my wall
I got some cards from the Official Football group break on TCZ I http://www.tradingcardcentral.com/forums/index.php?automodule=blog&blogid=240&cmd=showentry&eid=1776 (here on my TCC blog). and here are what the "Hits" look like:
2013 Panini Limited GU 35 Fred Davis Redskins all maroon swatch #d 58/99
2012 Panini Prime Signatures Football
Bronze? 246 Brian Quick Rams On-Card Blue Sharpie 102/199
Gold 202 Kirk Cousins Redskins On-Sticker Blue Sharpie 18/25
160 Barry Sanders Lions On-Sticker Blue Sharpie 5/5
Nice Cousins... AMAZING SANDERS
great stuff kirk, keep the pics coming
Good thing i dont see any Adam Jones autos on here!
Im up to 15 (if you count the Five Star /25 and the Five Star Auto 3 Clr Patch /5 that are incoming).
Since it's Hockey Season and well since I dig Mascots:
2010 Upper Deck Dasani SS-1 Slapshot Washington Capitals Mascot
Here is a card that I had scanned but never talked about anywhere that I know of. I probably mentioned when/where I got it on my TCC blog, but I'm too lazy to hunt for it. I've got it in my http://captkirk42.blogspot.com blog queue for posting on Tuesday.
an oldie!
nice stuff
I'll give you a bryce harper rookie card for that barry sanders
quality stuff brother~
If i had a bryce harper auto do ya think my avi would be adam jones?
Here is some Non-Sport for ya. I mentioned it on my blogger blog but not round here in the forums (maybe I mentioned how much I got it for in the old TCC blog)
A nice cool auto that doesn't need any long stories I'll just show it:
Now the back:
Hmm How about some Riggo!
2002 Donruss Gridiron Kings (Bronze) 165 John Riggins Redskins
One of those frame things.
2006 Donruss Classics: Legendy Players LP-20 John Riggins Redskins #/250
1975 Topps Football 313 John Riggins Jets
Jeez I gotta get more of these cards scanned.
Got this card in early January this year for just $5 from round here. Just got it scanned.
To see the back side you gotta go to http://captkirk42.blogspot.com after Noon Wednesday the 12th (it posts at Noon.)
IN keeping with my current trend of showing a card from my blogger blog that will be posted later here is a cool mid 1990s card in one of those retro HOF type sets:
1993 Ted Williams Baseball 66 Johnny Mize Yankees
nice stuff.
loved that ted williams set
there is a couple nice jeter rookies in there
Sweet stuff Kirk! Nice Sanders #5/5! It would look better in my collection thou
Recently posted on my http://curlywcards.blogspot.com Blog:
How about a sweet artifact? Now I'm not much into GU, and artifacts mostly because of the concept of them, but every now and then a very sweet looking one will come into my hands. This one I got from a group box break it was a random hit from a team that wasn't taken. I won the randomization of the card.
2013 Topps Tier One: Legends Relics TORL-GB George Brett Royals GU Bat #d 49/99
These bat cards are starting to grow on me.
Got this card in the same group break as the George Brett bat above.
2013 Topps Triple Threads 82 Jimmie Foxx
Man I hate that scanners don't show off these Triple Threads cards like they should. All the scans I've seen and have done look awful but the card in real life looks sweet. Another reason to hate all the gold leaf and chrome stuff they put on cards now days.
Cool action card from a recent bust of a repack:
Awesome thread!
Love the Carrolla AU and Cousins AU
and wish I had something for the Barry Sanders AU, haha
Nats New Skipper (in his playing days)
2000 Fleer Tradition 40 Matt Williams Diamondbacks
Yeah the "Junk Years" didn't have any cards worth keeping.
Just scrubs like this guy:
Still like that border design tho!
Should have shown this one ages ago. Today I got the full 5 card set (still individually sealed) from Ebay for $8.99 +$2.00 shipping.
1995 Stouffers Legends of Baseball: Pop-Ups
I've had the Yogi since '95 when I got it from whichever frozen dinner package it was in. I have never "Popped" it open to see how they display, but I removed the clear plastic wrapping ages ago. I have seen some of the other cards opened in photos on the internet. The player stats are hidden on the inside. I don't know if I am going to keep the extra Yogi or send him away to someone else.
This thread needs something classical.
Here is a card from a set that I plan to at least get the rest of my Homie teams (Nationals and Orioles) and possibly build the whole set. I love the look of this set it is simple yet detailed. The coloring and the overall design gives it an art-deco look.
2005 Donruss Zenith 162 Nick Johnson Nationals
*sigh* add another set to try to complete of the zillion I am already "building".
2004 Upper Deck Play Ball Baseball 101 Luis Matos Orioles
Pretty cool sliding into base pic. Could do without all the gold leaf/imprinting though.
1995 Pinnacle Baseball 188 Brady Anderson Orioles
A much needed upgrade to complete a Team Set (almost 50 years later). IN my effort to complete the 1965 Topps set (http://captkirk42.blogspot.com/2014/01/strive-for-65-set-build.html) a few weeks back I had technically finished the Team Set for the Washington Sentators, however one of the cards was in major need of an upgrade:
1965 Topps Baseball 21 Don Blasingame Senators
especially because of the back:
ICK glued paper debris, yuck.
So thanks to a trip to my LCS and $2 later...
and the back:
That is MUCH better. So now I have the Complete http://curlywcards.blogspot.com/2014/03/strive-for-65-senators-team-set.html
This one speaks for itself:
OK how about some eye candy?
To see the other two gal cards I got check out my blog http://captkirk42.blogspot.com/2014/04/soccer-no-way-i-dont-hit-women.html post.
dear capt
are you teasing us..
I see nothing in the last two posts?
I can see clearly now!
How about Hammerin' Hank for my Strive for '65 Set build?
Got it from the bay for $17 delivered. Not bad for one of the Big Fish from '65
never owned the 65 aaron.. im jealous
Time for the semi-annual post. or as I say on my blog "The Card of Whenever". Here is a semi-recent post from my reguler http://captkirk42.blogspot.com
1942 Play Ball 1983 Reprint 32 Mel Ott NY Giants
I got it as part of a surprise PWE package from a blogger many months ago sometime last year. The technique that this guy uses for sending stuff in PWEs is pretty cool he cuts up regular 9 pocket card pages horizontally and fills the 3 pocket "mini sheet" with cards sometimes going to the limit of about 4 cards per pocket. The PWE is a standard business sized #10 envelope. The 3 pocket sheet row keeps the envelope from having that one or two card sized bump in it. Of course he has to use 2 stamps instead of one but hey so far I haven't had any problems with his stuff.
I posted this card and its story on my Washington http://curlywcards.blogspot.com Blog today.
1956 Topps 49 Pedro Ramos Nationals
A few weeks back in checking to see what I still needed in the team sets for my 1974 Topps Baseball set build for the Orioles I noticed I need one of those annoying multi-player rookie cards. They are annoying in the fact that often times they are hard to find just because one of the players went on to superstardom making the card difficult to find inexpensively. I made a http://captkirk42.blogspot.com/2015/03/continuing-set-build-1974-expos-os-and.html for my http://captkirk42.blogspot.com about some of the team sets I had completed or almost completed to help with my overall '74 set build. While scanning a few cards to show off. I chose the Brooks Robinson card to represent the O's.
While looking at the card getting it ready for scanning I noticed the back and the paper loss damage. EEEEEKKK!
**Sigh** Now I need to get an upgrade copy. Yep paper loss and the part with the top of the AVG column is barely holding on to the rest of the card.
Did you get it like that or did it happen over the years I storage?
Need to try to remember to update this often with whatever. Not sure if I should start some posts, I mean threads, of specific players or not, those always seem to be popular if the player is a superstar and other fans want to see them. I don't do the trendy popular stuff though.
A fairly recent (from March) showing on my http://curlywcards.blogspot.com blog:
1956 Topps Baseball 49 Pedro Ramos Washington Nationals
EDIT: Eek this is a repost of post http://www.tradingcardcentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=202406&view=findpost&p=2787849
Been a few years since I've added a new post. As usual let me link to a recent post from my main http://captkirk.blogspot.com.
This card is from my Niche PC specifically my "names" niche (people with my name or similar names)
2013 Leaf Ace Authentic Grand Slam Tennis Autograph: BA-JK1 Jessica Kirkland
From this https://captkirk42.blogspot.com/2017/06/niche-pc-001-some-tennis-lovin.html.

ACK the earlier part of this thread (and the early part of my TCC Blog when I posted images on it) has been ravaged by the recent Photobucket "YOU haven't UPGRADED to the NON-FREE MEMBERSHIP so We will block your photos from 3rd Parties" Image. I had recently looked over some of those older posts to see what I had shown way back when. UGH Fortunately it looks like I can still access my Photobucket account at its source so I might be able to "save" some of my Photobucket only images. Also in recent years I have mostly relied just on blogger (blogspot) to share photos/images. I held onto photobucket mostly because it had been the first and easiest site to use with Ebay.
What a nightmare reminds me of several years ago when Yahoo got rid of their Photo Album and later their "briefcase", when they did away with the Album I lost tons of images fortunately most of "those" were not very important and were obtained from other sources not my own original photos.
Whoever says "If it's on the internet it is there forever" does not use any of these free image hosting sties that go under after 5-10 years.
I've got a lot of work ahead of me.
I GAVE UP.. ill wait out photobuckets ploy
I'm converting to Flicker this weekend and will slowly try to upload what I can on it, maybe this is my chance to really have a organized gallary Lol!
Just a reminder to anyone who follows me and my collection updates. I usually don't post here in "Show and Telll" since photobucket made its stupid 3rd party rules changes. For several years, however I have been posting mail days in my blog here at TCC http://www.tradingcardcentral.com/forums/index.php?automodule=blog&blogid=240& I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who regularly uses the blog area anymore.
Oh got the latest issue of "The Wrapper" Non-Sport card magazine in the mail.
i cannot get it to open
