Collector Zone _ Basketball Marketplace _ Question

Posted by: cbware88 Jan 6 2007, 06:54 AM

I have been an collector all my life and have kept all kinds of things........WELL; the other day my wife tells me to start going through some of it and "consolidating". mad.gif

As I was going through my old newspapers, I came across some Cleveland Plain Dealers from Jan-March 2000. They feature stories about a Freshman basketball player named
LeBron James

Here is the question:

Should I sell them on E-bay?
or
Keep them until he goes into the Hall of Fame ?

I think the answer to your question lies in how badly you wife wants the stuff gone. laugh.gif

If she is so so and will not pitch it then I would say hang onto it. You are risking something happening to him in between now and then that could devalue them, but again if he stays out of trouble and makes it to the HOF that could make those papers more valuable.

If she is "GET THAT CRUD OUT OF HERE NOW" mode, then you are better off to sell them, than have her toss them one day while you are not home.
