I thought that too but then I found out some stats...
Since 1970, there have been 5 QB's selected #1 overall that are HOF eligible, three (Bradshaw, Elway, and Aikman) are in and one other (Plunkett) could be a veteran committee enshrinee one day. The last one, Steve Bartkowski, was no slouch either.
Since 1970, 15 QB's have been picked #1 overall. Of those, there have been 3 in the HOF, 17 Super Bowl appearances, and 8 Super Bowl MVP's. Only one of them is in prison.
Plus, the Raiders are probably going to get to have high draft picks for a couple of years to come which will add primo talent to a up and coming team.
McFadden, Vargas, and Jordan should help take some pressure off as well.
