Back on that Sunday afternoon in March when TCC Conked out for the day, I joined Beckett.com and Thebench.com.
At the bench I am named:
and at Beckett I am:
Want Roscoe Parrish
In that time, I have completed 1 trade at Beckett, with 4 more pending as of yesterday.
At the Bench, I have one pending sale.
Some first impressions are at beckett, its is HUGE! Tons of trade threads getting posted, lots of members, lots of great cards! Something I do not like is there is no public posting of trades. It is bad because it is tough to keep up to date and keep track of your pending trades, and it is also bad because what proof do I have that you said you'd send you card?
First Impressions of The Bench are the exact opposite. There are very few posts for trades. An unbumped trade topic can stay on the first page for days before it is taken over by new/bumped threads. That being said, it explains my ONE sale there. The feedback system is VERY thourough there however, as you grade the trader on four levels: Packaging, Communication, Delivery time, and Condition. I am expecting the card I bought very soon.
All in all, beckett is a much more productive place than the bench, but TCC will always be my home
