Went to the shop on a whim after work. Got there to see some 2007 Sage boxes sitting there, freshly wrapped. Then in came Mike (Guy doing 2006 Contenders set) and Walter (Steelers and Basketball collector, helping him with 2006 Chrome football). Mike took 10 packs from a new sage box, I did four and got 2 autos! Dwayne Bowe in the second pack, and Patrick Willis in the fouth! I was happy. We traded some base and inserts, and he gave me another insert from the Contenders packs he did. He got a few autos, but wasnt sure if he needed them. Walter was working on a box of basketball something or other. I also checked out the discount bin and picked up a Braves auto from moments and milestones for a nice price. http://www.tradingcardcentral.com/forums/i...showtopic=60133

There are the photos of the day's pick ups. All in all VERY happy with the pulls I had, left the store spending only 20 bucks for four packs and an auto! And found out about a small show on Sunday, which I am off, and will be going to to kill some time.
Also found out that Prestige will be coming out on May 16 (Pending delays), and hopefully will have a new webcam by then, and will be able to broadcast it in better quality!

Till next time

Isnt it funny how some people can get so jealous of other people's well being and success? Like, I know its human nature and all, but come on. Stop being a baby and just mind your own business. And dont accuse someone of something that you to are guilty of. "Let he who is with out sin, cast the first stone."

Went to the shoppe twice today. First time was to pick up 10 packs of the new 2007 Press Pass. Also got 2 Graded Card Sleeves.

Went home to bust the packs:

Went back to the store with a Peyton Manning, Dan Marino Dual Jersey and used that and some cash to buy ten more packs.

Al Came in for the first time in a while, and Mike also showed up. Mike is trying to complete the 2006 Contenders Rookie Auto Set, and uses the BMB. Al is an older guy that loves hockey. He did 2 boxes of the Press Pass and pulled more Calvin Johnson stuff than is legally allowed, all inserts and base. He also did a box of Beehive hockey and got a Malkin Rookie.
Mike did several packs of contenders and got Willie Reed and Travis Wilson Autos, both which he needed. He also gave me a Jim Kelly Insert /1000, he said he had three. He also did a box of Triple Threads Basket ball, got a Jason Kidd Triple Jersey /27, and a Dennis Rodman Auto jersey /36! He was very happy.

It was fun!

Back on that Sunday afternoon in March when TCC Conked out for the day, I joined Beckett.com and Thebench.com.
At the bench I am named:
Roscoe Parrish

and at Beckett I am:
Want Roscoe Parrish

In that time, I have completed 1 trade at Beckett, with 4 more pending as of yesterday.

At the Bench, I have one pending sale.

Some first impressions are at beckett, its is HUGE! Tons of trade threads getting posted, lots of members, lots of great cards! Something I do not like is there is no public posting of trades. It is bad because it is tough to keep up to date and keep track of your pending trades, and it is also bad because what proof do I have that you said you'd send you card?

First Impressions of The Bench are the exact opposite. There are very few posts for trades. An unbumped trade topic can stay on the first page for days before it is taken over by new/bumped threads. That being said, it explains my ONE sale there. The feedback system is VERY thourough there however, as you grade the trader on four levels: Packaging, Communication, Delivery time, and Condition. I am expecting the card I bought very soon.

All in all, beckett is a much more productive place than the bench, but TCC will always be my home smile.gif
