NOW THAT THE NON WAIVER DEADLINE HAS PASSED AND THE JAYS HAVE DECIDED TO HANG ONTO DOC, IT HAS LEFT TO QUESTION IF WHETHER OR NOT THE JAYS DID ENOUGH OR DID THE RIGHT THING. I BELIEVE THAT KEEPING HALLADAY WAS THE RIGHT MOVE BUT GIVING UP ROLEN... THAT IS A HUGE WOOPS. HE WAS LEADING THE TEAM IN AVG. AND WAS DYNAMITE ON THE FIELD AT THIRD BASE. WHO DO YOU REPLACE HIM WITH... ENCARNACION, COME ON!!!!!! THE JAYS NEEDED TO KEEP:
LIND, HILL, HALLADAY, ROLEN, RIOS, SCUTARO, ROMERO, CECIL
AND THE REST WERE EXPENDABLE. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING GIVING UP ROLEN. YOU COULD HAVE GOT THE SAME STYLE OF DEAL FROM A CONTENDER FOR WELLS, DOWNS, MILLAR, AND A DRAFT PICK.
WELLS WAS THE MOST EXPENDABLE AT THE DEADLINE, HE IS EASILY REPLACED BY A MILLAR OR ANY YOUNG PROSPECT, COME ON IT IS PRETTY EASY TO REPLACE A .240 HITTER IN THE LINE UP
