NOW THAT THE NON WAIVER DEADLINE HAS PASSED AND THE JAYS HAVE DECIDED TO HANG ONTO DOC, IT HAS LEFT TO QUESTION IF WHETHER OR NOT THE JAYS DID ENOUGH OR DID THE RIGHT THING. I BELIEVE THAT KEEPING HALLADAY WAS THE RIGHT MOVE BUT GIVING UP ROLEN... THAT IS A HUGE WOOPS. HE WAS LEADING THE TEAM IN AVG. AND WAS DYNAMITE ON THE FIELD AT THIRD BASE. WHO DO YOU REPLACE HIM WITH... ENCARNACION, COME ON!!!!!! THE JAYS NEEDED TO KEEP:

LIND, HILL, HALLADAY, ROLEN, RIOS, SCUTARO, ROMERO, CECIL

AND THE REST WERE EXPENDABLE. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING GIVING UP ROLEN. YOU COULD HAVE GOT THE SAME STYLE OF DEAL FROM A CONTENDER FOR WELLS, DOWNS, MILLAR, AND A DRAFT PICK.

WELLS WAS THE MOST EXPENDABLE AT THE DEADLINE, HE IS EASILY REPLACED BY A MILLAR OR ANY YOUNG PROSPECT, COME ON IT IS PRETTY EASY TO REPLACE A .240 HITTER IN THE LINE UP

IT APPEARS THAT ROY HALLADAY IS GOING TO REMAIN A BLUE JAY OF LEAST UNTIL THE OFF SEASON, THAT IS UNLESS A HUGE BLOCKBUSTER COULD BE ARRANGED. NOW A HUGE BLOCKBUSTER DEAL THAT WOULD BE UNABLE TO BE TURNED AWAY IS WHAT I TALK ABOUT. HOW COULD THE JAYS TURN DOWN A PROPOSAL LIKE ALBERT PUJOLS OR ALEX RODRIGUEZ??? IT IS ALMOST A NO BRAINER THAT HALLADAY STAYS A JAY.

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR RICCARDI.... SIGN HIM FOR LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DITCH WELLS!!!!!!!!!!!

YOU MAKE THE CALL A GOOD OR BAD THING.

ROY HALLADAY

TO PHILLIES FOR

KYLE DRABEK, J.A. HAPP, DOMINIC BROWN

MY OPINION, BIG THUMBS DOWN, NOT ENOUGH FOR DOC. I STILL THINK IF YOU ARE GOING TO MOVE DOC AND REBUILD YOU MAKE A PACKAGE, HALLADAY, WELLS, AND DOWNS TO THE ANGELS FOR TORI HUNTER, ERVIN SANTANA, 1ST ROUND PICK, AND 2 PROSPECTS.

I HAVE CONTINUED TO THINK MORE AND MORE ABOUT THE JAYS AND WHAT THEY NEED TO DO IN THE IMMEDIATE FUTURE. I THINK THE MOST IMPORTANT THING THAT THE TEAM NEEDS TO DO IS SIGN THE FOLLOWING PLAYERS:

HALLADAY - FOR HIS CAREER
LIND - 5 YEARS
HILL - 5 YEARS
SCUTARO - 5 YEARS

TRADE THE REST AND BRING IN OF LEAST TWO RELIABLE STARTERS AND A SOLID DH.

WHAT DO YOU THINK???

IT APPEARS TO BE BECOMING MORE AND MORE LIKELY THAT ROY HALLADAY IS ENTERING THE FINAL WEEK AS A BLUE JAY. IT WILL BE SAD TO SEE HIM GO BUT I JUST CAN'T FOR THE LIFE OF ME FIGURE OUT WHO THE JAYS MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN. THE TEAM NEEDS SOMEONE TO REBUILD AROUND AND WITHOUT AN ACE ON THE PITCHING STAFF THEN THEY HAVE A LOT OF WORK TO DO.

I THINK THE PROPOSITION OF A TRADE LIKE THE FOLLOWING COULD HAPPEN:

ROY HALLADAY
VERNON WELLS

TO LA ANGELS FOR

ERVIN SANTANA
VLADIMIR GUERRERO OR TORI HUNTER
1ST ROUND PICK

I FEEL THE JAYS SHOWED REAL PROMISE AT THE START OF THE 2009 SEASON AND THAT IF INJURIES HAD NOT REARED THEIR UGLY HEAD THEY WOULD STILL BE CONTENDING WITH THE YANKEES FOR THE WILD CARD. I THOUGHT I WOULD GIVE MY OPINION OF THE JAYS #1 LINEUP.

1. MARCO SCUTARO - SS
2. AARON HILL - 2B
3. ALEXIS RIOS - RF
4. SCOTT ROLEN - 3B
5. ADAM LIND - LF
6. LYLE OVERBAY - 1B
7. VERNON WELLS - CF
8. ROD BARAJAS - C
9. KEVIN MILLAR - DH

SP - ROY HALLADAY
SU - SCOTT DOWNS
CL - JEREMY ACCARDO

ROY HALLADAY IS THE BEST PITCHER IN THE MAJORS AND THE JAYS WOULD BE NUTS TO TRADE HIM. IF YOU TRADE A TOP PLAYER LIKE HALLADAY, THEN WHO DO THEY HAVE LEFT TO REBULD AROUND?

ADAM LIND - TOO YOUNG
AARON HILL - TOO YOUNG (CONCUSSION)
VERNON WELLS - TOO LATE... CAREER RUNNING DOWN
LYLE OVERBAY - GREAT PLAYER BUT NOT A LEADER

PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR OPINION AND I LOOK FORWARD TO READING IT
