From Ebay got one of the Original 1970s Wacky Packages full Puzzle Checklist for Series 11 "Planet of the Grapes" Parody of "Planet of the Apes" TV show Topps cards. One of the rarer ones apparently as most of the full puzzle sets of this one go for super overinflated prices (up to and sometimes much more than $100) I managed to get these 9 cards all in Excellent to NearMint (dealer listed as NearMint) for $29.49 + $2.50 shipping ($31.99 total) that is aprox $3.50 per card when most dealers are selling this set sometimes in poorer condition and "puzzle piece" cards that don't match up too well for that $100+, mine matches up excellently BTW. Earlier I had gotten the actual "Planet of the Grapes" sticker for about $5.00 maybe a bit more.

Got an Ebay order in of two Original Sketch cards from a dealer I had bought from before, one was from an artist I have another card from and the other is from a different artist.

I got them for $16.99 each plus $4.00 shipping (I think it was supposed to be $2.00 but Ebay didn't combine shipping or let me request total from seller when I paid for multiple orders from multiple dealers like it is supposed to)

The first is from the unknown "Phil" artist that did my Kono Hawaii Five-0 sketch card this one is of Abby from NCIS serial numbered 200/250 the back card is upside down from the portrait and with the gold seal I can't fix it too easily, but I still love this card.

The second sketch card is one I had watched once before and it was bought and I thought it would be gone forever but then it eventually came back available. It is a Doctor Who sketch. This one is serial numbered 246/250 the artist is Micael Celona. The dealer inclosed a bonus Doctor Who Bookmark. The bookmark was the first thing I pulled from the large envelope. Nice surprise and it is related to one of my purchases. If really miffs me when someone includes a bonus item that is not related to one of my purchases.

Got some Ebay stuff two sets of Non-Sport Cards from one Dealer. FREE SHIPPING. One of the sets is pretty rare and I spent a bit more than I really wanted but a lot less than I've seen it go for and the other is sort of plain in all sorts of ways.

First the not so exciting one unless you are into Oddball Marvel Comics from the 1970s/80s 1988 Topps Howard The Duck Card/Sticker set. 77 cards 22 stickers plus the wrapper for $14.00 - cards were originally packaged 9 cards + 1 sticker per pack w/ 1 stick of bubble gum

The other rare set hard to find completely full is 1979 (often listed as 1977 but copyright on cards is '79) Donruss CHiPS cards/stickers 60 numbered cards/stickers + 6 unnumbered stickers plus the wrapper for $50.00. I 've seen incomplete sets go for that or more. Usually the unnumbered stickers are missing or only 4 or 5 at most are listed. I don't know what makes this set soooooo rare and hard to find. Originally packaged 4 stickers per pack plus 1 stick bubble gum. The wrapper had a surprise. It was taped shut with a bit of masking tape to hold it together, I carefully removed the bad masking tape and it's residue (it was still OK hadn't been on there for too many years) and inside I was expecting maybe a blank piece of cardboard or maybe a forgotten "Chips" sticker nope it was a Superman Series II card #92 "The Family of Jor-El on Krypton" with top to bottom offcentering the copyright line is almost chopped off and the #92 is only about the top 2/3 of the number so any farther off and the number would be unreadable. I forget if I have that card or not I have some of the Superman Series II (second series of cards from first Christopher Reeve Movie) cards.

From Ebay I got the 12 card set of the 1995 Fleer/SkyBox Batman & Robin The Animated Series Pop-ups I got it on sale for $4 bucks from $10 w/ $3 shipping. I already had two of them Catwoman and Batgirl so I have dupes of those two I might "pop" one of them to see the stand-up thing. I once saw another ebay auction for the set that showed them all opened. These appear to be unopened like my original two. Anyway they are numbered P1 - P12 and the list is as follows:

P1 - Batman
P2 - Robin
P3 - Batgirl
P4 - The Joker
P5 - Poison Ivy
P6 - Mr. Freeze
P7 - The Penguin
P8 - Clayface
P9 - The Riddler
P10 - Harley Quinn
P11 - Catwoman
P12 - Two-Face

Plus the dealer sent some bonus cards, they did it the smart way and sent some similar cards. Some dealers send cards that are totally unrelated and are obviously just sent as filler cards so the dealer can get rid of junk. These were also comic superhero related cards and were also Batman related:

1995 Fleer/Skybox Batman Master Series: Master Villains Chase Subset 2 of 10 Two-Face

1995 Fleer Batman Forever Metal
62 Double Kings - The Riddler and Two-Face
67 Robin
91 Gothem's Best - Robin

From a member at "The Bench" I got a freebie Non-Sport auto card. All you had to do was claim one of the cards he was giving away and send in a PWE SASE. I wasn't a huge fan of doing that for an auto card but what the hey.

The card I chose and received is:

2004 Inkworks Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda Auto (A5 I think) of Laura Bertram as Trance Gemini black on card sharpie. She is shown in a purple costume and her hair is piled up and very red. It was an "Uncirculated Sealed" card but the seal is butchered and taped at the edge Looks like I'll have to rescue the card from it's "seal" and just keep it as a regular "circulated" auto. That will be good because then I can read all the info on the back and confirm the actual card number. I have mentioned on my regular blog that those seals block too much of the info on the back of the card and often the signature. IN this case it blocks some of the signature most of the back info plus the card number.

Sometime I'm going to scan it first with the seals and then without.

On Friday 10 Feb 2012 I got my 5 card set of Elvira Sketch Cards for $3.99 FREE Shipping. The artist is Parmenter according to the seller/artist with Ebay ID Monster-Art-World in Ohio.

The cards in in full color and are on photo stock/quality paper, the backs are clean and blank. The toploaders were taped at the top and two of them held two "cards" back to back. For all I know this guy could be just scanning sketches and printing onto 2.5 x 3.5 cards. I don't care though I got this set because I really loved the look and the subject matter. When I first saw the auction for them there were only two maybe three of them I was really excited about now its more like 4 out of the 5.

Got a cool Hawaii Five-0 Sketch card of Kono (Grace Park) it's a serial numbered print from an up and coming sketch artist/Ebay seller vinestreetstuff (I can't read the signature starts with a P) it is numbered 224/250 each of the prints this guy does and sells has a limited run of 250. It is very nice. It is a pencil sketch that has been color inked, probably watercolor. I is in a sealed toploader, the certificate/serial numbered back is a separate piece of light card stock/paper the paper/card stock of the front is ridged to give a canvas look. My only complaint is there is no penny sleeve inside, It seems that sketch artists don't put their cards in a penny sleeve before putting them in the toploader. At least most have the sense to use toploaders. Anyway only spent $12.99 for this plus $1.95 shipping. I have my eye on a couple of other sketches by this guy. One is another Hawaii Five-0 character the other is NCIS. those two are $20 - $25 so I'm weighing the "is it really worth it" card right now.
