There were no terrorists in Iraq before we invaded and occupied that sovereign nation. The fact that their leader and his offspring terrorized his own people notwithstanding.
So in essence, we the United States of America have borne and bred a terrorist threat to our very interests and citizenry.
I have made the point before and I will make it yet again. This insane foray by the Bush administration into the "Global War on Terrorism" was, is and will continue to be the largest "foreign policy" blunder in our nations history.
On May 1, 2003, the President uttered these words "Major combat operations in Iraq have ended." Since he made that rather dubious observation, 3,174 U.S. Soldiers, Marines, Airmen & Sailors are no more.
What is your reasoning as to how our immediate pullout* from Iraq would increase the danger to us?
If there are no targets (Uniformed U.S. military personnel), what exactly are the terrorists to do?
Target their own people?, attempt to consolidate power for their tribe/religious denomination or turn to petty criminalism?
Well, it seems the terrorists are doing exactly those things with our military presence & occupation.
There are troops that are on their third tours in a Combat Theatre. Let's get them home now, today!

I don't think that terrorism will increase in Iraq that much but you have to worry about the unstable government. Remember, this is a war on terror not a war against Iraq. I don't see Iraq capable to handle the terrorism in their own country without us. If you let one country do what they want and get out of control, then the entire middle east is affected for the worse. Just my opinion.
