I listen to a great podcast called Star Wars: In Character. They raise money around the holidays to purchase Star Wars toys to donate to Toys For Tots. This year to raise funds they asked more than 50 artists to contribute original art on Mandalorian Armor (Boba Fett's armor) to be auctioned off to raise funds for their cause. Here's the main site: The ArTmor ProjectFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/ArtmorProjectAuction page: https://www.proxibid.com/asp/catalog.asp?aid=72357All the money raised from this is going towards the toy purchases. You can place early bird bids now (with more pieces being added daily, so keep checking back), but the actual auction isn't for 2 weeks. I think some of you might be interested in this specific piece: https://www.proxibid.com/asp/LotDetail.asp?...tle=Flyers-FettI'm also honored to be included in this. Here is my contribution, Mandonomicon (they're working on fixing the title on the auction page, stupid auto-correct!): And here's the direct link to my piece: https://www.proxibid.com/asp/LotDetail.asp?...=Mando-NomicronSo check it out. Even if you don't like mine, there's probably something else you might like to bid on. Thanks! |

QUOTE(bat115 @ Apr 26 2013, 12:27 AM) Did you ever find out if it's in the movie? I saw it in theaters and I think there were painting on the walls in just about every scene! My cousin watched it online but said he didn't see it. I don't know how well he was looking. I think the DVD comes out next week, I'll be scouring it for sure!!! |

QUOTE(aceecards @ Apr 25 2013, 08:47 PM) I see my tcc resident artist and close sketch confidant lurking! Oh, I'm always lurking about. I have to admit, it's not only TCC. There are other sites I frequented feverishly that have simply migrated onto Facebook and never looked back. I was extremely active with a group of folks on a horror forum, many of whom I'm very close friends with now. Around the same time TCC started slowing down, those horror folks were posting more and more on Facebook. Now the horror message boards is a ghost town (pun intended). Is there a TCC Facebook page? Can we somehow connect the two in a stronger way? |
