QUOTE(mjda @ Jul 20 2013, 07:36 PM) That is unfortunate but this might not be the best place to vent that frustration. The good thing, though, is that we don't care if you're new or not. If you have questions, someone will give you an answer. -- Sorry, MJDA. I will try not to do this again. |

Just out of curiosity, which hobby box brand / sub- brand do you all prefer that has the biggest bang for your buck? I am looking to resell, eventually, any hits i get. Whats the best value in your opinion? |

Wow, im speechless. I joined the forums over at Blow out cards and was posting questions. All i got were people being incredibly rude and condescending and acting like i was kind of a moron. Then they banned me. They didn't give me any reason.
What I dont understand is that they complain about newbies all day coming im and acting like they know it all. I go in there and respectfully ask questions so i can learn and they ban me! |

Lol, no. I was looking through a sellers box, and he had stickers on the toploaders. Some stickers read RC with price.... Others stickers said FB with price, and the FB were more expensive. It seemed to me that there was a pattern - each FB card was the year after their rookie card (2nd year in the league) |

Whats the best way to get an authentic autograph on card? Player special appearances? Mail the card to the player and request one? |

I see a bunch of *hufe football card lots* for sale on Ebay. Should I spend the money on them or assume that the seller is savvy enough to comb through for RC/AU/GU and only sell commons?

What does SP mean? QUOTE(bob_TCC @ May 22 2005, 10:33 AM) This item came from from one of our new weekly features - Beckett Game Notes provided by Beckett Media. Click here to read this week's article. From the article: Patriot's QB Tom Brady's top Rookie Card has moved up or down in price 16 times since it was first listed in the January 2001 issue of Beckett Football. At $800, it is one of the most valuable modern era base cards in existence. It doesn't feature an autograph or a jersey swatch, but it's part of a historically significant product - SP Authentic. January 2001 - $30 December 2001 - $60 January 2002 - $125 February 2002 - $135 March 2002 - $175 September 2002 - $150 November 2002 - $175 December 2002 - $150 February 2004 - $200 March 2004 - $300 April 2004 - $350 June 2004 - $400 July 2004 - $425 November 2004 - $450 March 2005 - $750 April 2005 - $800 Very cool to see the history of the icard's value! Put this data in a graph and make it available on a web site for lots of cards and that would be great. So, does anyone here have a copy of this card? If so, let's see a scan. -Bob |

Hello all!
Im getting back into collecting both for fun and for profit. Its been a long time since ive been active, and i've got alot of questions. I would appreciate any help you can offer, and please forgive my seeming ignorance.
First off, what is the best way to organize the cards? By team? By rookie cards? I know a lot collectors do very segregated by card company, year, etc.
By extension of the last question - what is more valuable... A complete years set, one company? Or single individuals rookie card or autograph?
Does a printed autograph have any value difference than a hand signed one?
What does it mean to break a box?
More questions to follow, and thanks for any help. Oh, and please break it down for me and explain amy abbreviations or trade- talk you might use PLEASE! I'm learning.
THANKS!
