First off, sorry for the long read, but it could be important to you to read this.
I just saw a "group box break" on youtube where people paid a certain amount of money to buy a box together, and each person who paid was entitled to one hit, auto or gu. Then one guy would open it live, and dish out the cards as planned.
So...I was wondering if something similar could be worked out for one of those Topps rip cards, like the one I puled out of 07 allen and ginter. People could purchase the "rights" to teams, at say $5 per team. Then, I'd open the rip card live, and send the card to whoever has the rights to the team. I'd make some decent money and people would have the chance to get a rare card relatively cheaply. make sense?
there are probably many problems with this idea, but I thought I'd ask the most knowledgeable collectors I know what they thought. What are the problems/steps you guys see in this idea? and is there any interest in this at all? any replies would be great. thanks.
