What??? Brosnan was made for that role. Craig is the 4th best behind Connery, Brosnan, and Dalton.

I'll add that it's too bad Brosnan was under contract with NBC (Remington Steele) because Roger Moore is my least favorite. Word is that they asked Adam West before Moore and he turned it down. Could you imagine what a train wreck that would have been?

I dunno, besides adam west not being british.. he definetly has the deadpan monotone voice to have made a good american bond..

but I did not like Brosnan at all but always felt that timothy dalton is way under appreciaed in Bond lore

I think Brosnan had he played Bond at the time he was doing Remington Steele, or just after would have been better than he was some 10-20 years later when he actually did do Bond.

Any one remember Dean MArtin as "Matt Helm" or Roger Moore as "Follkes"?

I have seen a few scenes of a Matt Helm movie. Most likely out of context on some sort of Dean Martin tribute special. Haven't seen Moore's.

Brosnan was great. He had some crappy scripts.......except for Goldeneye. Goldeneye was an instant classic. I will say this for Daniel Craig.....I think Skyfall is my favorite of all the Bond movies.

I too liked Casino Royale a lot, but he's in the shadow of David Niven and Sean Connery with that one.

Craigs performance in casino royale was stellar, maybe it was the chick or maybe the car, but I enjoyed it more than the original..

It is almost blasphemous for me to cut down any sean connery 007
